I can see why you're confused re the song choice, the B side to Someone Wake Me up is There's A Place For Us … which IS in the film, so they decided to combine and promote the film with the release of his single.
And really …… the gay thing is just getting boring, he's gay .. get over it, no idea how you 'sound gay'!
It's a fab track, a fab video and even the film looks fab!

  2. Edmund-is-hot says:

Jeez, this is AMAZING! πŸ˜€ I love it a lot! πŸ™‚ I really can't wait for the film now ;D I think the video is great: the background for him singing fit perfectly, and the song's good πŸ˜€

  3. checkers says:

What's a B-side? (and I meant that the words don't fit with Narnia)

  4. Michael says:

This is the one clip that i've seen that's really confused me. I'm excited to see the movie and find out what really happens. πŸ˜€ I definitely like the idea of Aslan opening a way through the wall of water.

  5. Aravis and Hwin says:

yeah, I don't really care for his voice, so I put it on mute :). The Narnia shots are great though!

  6. Bulgy Bear says:

A "B-Side" is a song that accompanies a main single release. On an old fashioned vinyl record single you would have the main song on the "A-Side" of the record, and then on the reverse they would have a different song, or the "B-Side". The term is still widely used today, despite the fact that singles no longer come on vinyl record.

  7. Fire vien says:

What on earth?!? That guy is pathetic!!!!

  8. Melissa says:

LOVE LOVE this music video!! Really really like the song and Joe is very nice to look at. πŸ™‚ The clips are great as well.

  9. JessicaNarnia says:

Agree. People need a reality check especially what has happened recently. Simply pathetic uncalled for comments.

Anyway, great track from this guy (I like it!!) and very very attractive. Excited for the movie!

  10. DanielmyBrother says:

The clips were great. The song was okay. Maybe it will draw more people to the movie who are fans of Joe McElderry. I'm requested Dec 10th off for the movie! I hope to be first in line.

  11. Movie Aristotle says:

I still think this has nothing to do with Narnia. Well done music video, but the song has absolutely nothing to do with Narnia. I would prefer a music video of "There's a place for us".

  12. sgk474 says:

Your comment was really rude and certainly doesn't fir the glory of Narnia – God loves him.

  13. sgk474 says:

    Meant to write 'fit.'

  14. sgk474 says:

    I like it

  15. timo says:

the 2 times they showed Aslan I lol'd. It's so funny with the music. @ 2:10 you see him roaring and this high note starts at the same time πŸ˜€ 2:56 is just funny because of the timing :p

  16. TDM says:

Duffleglum, wow thanks for the gay slam on the kid, with all the Christian themes in the film you showed your "Christian" views. Keep the bullying alive. (if you can't read the sarcasm in this I'll spell it out)

  17. Jess says:

i actually really like this song and i am loving the clips i can't wait till the film comes out πŸ˜€

  18. Haha I came to Narniaweb right now to post almost the same thing! I agree with you, and I'd add even more. Take a look at these lyrics from before the final chorus:
    "How could I not see
    You pulling me in
When will I see the end begin
What a fool I have been
Lift me from this state I'm in"
That seems to me to be Eustace talking to Aslan. I can hear in my head this part of the song suddenly playing in the movie right as Aslan begins to un-dragon Eustace. πŸ˜‰ haha that'd be funny.

  19. The narniad says:

No offense to Joe Mcelderry or anything, but I really hate his voice. Always have done since he first came on the X-Factor. You should have seen my face when I found out he was doing one of the songs for Narnia. I shall die a little inside if his voice is in the credits.

And now that I've complained, I have to say that those clips were amazing! The sea serpent battle? Holy Fudge Muffins was that amazing or what?! When Lucy ran forward to hug Aslan I cried, like, loads. Georgie Henley caught that moment perfectly. I actually can't wait for December 10th now, it can't come soon enough!

  20. LisaLion says:

Joe really has an amazing tone to his voice; just beautiful from X Factor and his album. I love this song!! Very catchy and a great melody. Also, he is HOT; OMG he looks gorgeous.

So glad he is doing this movie; makes it extra special watching it knowing I will hear his voice at the end and hopefully in the beginning. Great job Joe!!

  21. WarriorOfNarnia says:

Not to bad… love the new shots!

  22. Starlily says:

Very nice screen shots. And I always appreciate your little comments as well. πŸ™‚

  23. Matty says:

Really like this song for the movie! Wow, Joe really has an beautiful tone to his voice and stunning to look at.

Can't wait to see it and so excited to hear him at the beginning and ending credits!!

  24. Thanks!! I always hope that someone out there actually reads the captions…haha. I guess at least one person does! FNAFA! (For Narnia and for Aslan)

  25. Lylanarniafan says:

I really can't wait for the movie, it will be great……… awesome there's no other world !!!!
I don't Love the song, but I like the clips of the movie !!, but if it's of Narnia, I like it !

  26. LL says:

I love how Skandar is laughing when the water's spilling out of the painting!

  27. Val says:

Su voz es HORRIBLE, nada que decir. Es una niΓ±ita chillonaaaaa

  28. stateofgreen says:

Thanks for the caps and your funny comments, LOL.

  29. Caspian XI says:

Aslan's mane, I agree! πŸ™‚ I really like that part in the lyrics. It's like Eustacing admitting his mistakes and asking Aslan for forgiveness and all πŸ™‚

  30. Bookwyrm says:

I literally laughed out loud at that.

  31. Bookwyrm says:

I'll be blunt, if you played this song for prisoners of war, you'd get in trouble for violating the Geneva Convention. As for the video part of it, it's very well done. Just not the singing.

  32. Jerry says:

WOW! He is very handsome isn't he and really like the song, so catchy and has a great melody to it!!

    Hope we heard some more!

  33. Reepicheep says:

This song isn't very Narnian and his voice was so auto tuned.

  34. Mangolite says:

In trailers and music videos, scenes from the movies are all juxtaposed therefore, it looks awkward.

  35. Princess Lucy says:

isn't caspian visiting our world in the SC…so it might be caspian saying goodbye to reepicheep unless this farewell happens before the wall of water…hmmm another question waiting to be answered πŸ™‚

  36. AslanForever says:

Don't think there is any autotuned there. Saw a live performance on youtube of the exact song and he is bloody brilliant. He sings it the same way and really what an amazing voice he has. Beautiful tone. His X Factor performances were amazing and this song is really great!

  37. Awel Prince says:

    I…uh…agree. it's…SQUEAK-EE. o.O He acts/sings like a dweeb too…blah. Please, Adam Young!!!! πŸ˜€

  38. Pepper Darcy says:

yeah, let's get Adam Young for this! πŸ˜€ Beg the directors to beg Adam Young! πŸ˜€ Hey, if he did SC he could write a song about OWLS! Ha, ha, Parliment of Owls by Owl City?! Neat!

  39. Awel Prince says:

Yes, I beg of you, Narnia!! Give me Adam Young!!! It might actually, okay, no, erase that last bit, it WOULD actually fit!!! I mean the Silver Chair has OWLS in it!! So why not give it to (oh, snap) OWL CITY!! πŸ˜€ IT would be perfect! πŸ™‚

  40. Awel Prince says:

Okay, so I finally watched it all. It's ok, I prefer it over Underwood's but it still doesn't say "Narnia's Magic." Not even close. Adam Young would nail it…I know it. πŸ˜€ At least he's Christain and would appreciate the allegory (not sure about this Joe character.) πŸ˜‰ I guess I have to count my blessings, at least it isn't Taylor Swift, LOL! blah…

  41. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

me too, i got all choked up when she grabbed him and hugged him- i could feel her emotions- even through the fur! ha

  42. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

at first i had no idea how this was even remotely related to narnia, but now i think maybe it's connected to when eustace lays down and then wakes up as a dragon ( someone wake me up) . I was just surprised to hear such a fast, pop tune when the other CD's have been so indie and artsy- like Round the Memory Tree from PC- I wonder if Joe wrote it. so are we going to have to download all these songs as singles?

  43. Daniel James says:

HAHA I had been thinking my head off to see where we could fit Owl City into SC, but I completely skipped the OWLS. Duh. That's the perfect time. If Owl City could write a somewhat spooky song, it'd be perfect for when the owls "kidnap" the children and take them to the tower. It can't be Owl City's typical ultra-happy song, cause that would ruin the mood.

  44. I thought this wasn't Narnia related at all. FAIL.

  45. Sorry it sounded like I was talking about him I meant myself.
