New TV Spot: Aslan Dialogue From the World’s End

A number of fans have sent us reports about a new TV spot for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader being aired on TLC during a program about Sarah Palin. There is not much new footage, but it includes one new shot at the end of Aslan talking to Lucy. Watch it on YouTube:

Aslan tells Lucy: “I shall be with you always.” It appears that this line will be part of the scene where Aslan says “there I have another name,” which is probably one of the most talked about lines in the series. Back in March, it was confirmed that line will be in the film.

Thanks to ‘Narnian Meerkat, ‘Katie & Eric’, ‘Lady4Aslan’ and everyone else who alerted us.

This has to be one of the most highly-anticipated scenes in the series. One of those "they HAVE to get that one right" scenes.

  2. decarus says:

We will see if they get it right. It is important.

  3. decarus says:

    This scene and the undragoning.

  4. Em says:

It looks absolutely wonderful!!! SO excited!!!

  5. Caspian XI says:

    AWESOME!!!! 😀 😀 😀

  6. Fantasma says:

I just saw that and was about to email something about it. Sounds good (:

  7. Tribunal says:

Watched it earlier and was so happy. I'm glad Fox decided to "sponsor" the Sarah Palin season premiere with Narnia. There's been a lot of buzz surrounding the show and it's suppose to have great ratings which hopefully will translate into more people getting the word out about this film.

I hope this is the start of a successful campaign to promote the movie, because if it under performs you can say goodbye to the idea of having future films.

  8. Princess Lucy says:

if its no trouble would you be able to write it in a sentence…sorri my ears are not that good when hearing low audio…but i do offcourse thank glumPuddle for putting this up…really appreciated 🙂

  9. ~Lava~ says:

I believe he says "I shall be watching you always.'

  10. Princess Lucy says:

thanxs so much ~Lava~…i thought he said something like that now i'm sure..hehe…

  11. McGunn says:

I've never quite understood why they need to publish TVspots or scenes from the very ending of the film, they've done the same for Harry Potter – that's like writing the ending of a novel on the back of it… But who will read a book if they know how it ends? (Some might, but still)

I won't see the clip until I see the film anyway, but I just don't get why they do that:)

  12. Narnian_Archer says:

Any trailers or advertisements of movies are a compilation of scenes from all parts of the movie: beginning, middle, and end all twisted up. I think its more like a summary of a novel in the back of it–something to spark your interest and get you excited.

  13. Queen C The Gentle says:

I think Aslan will always watch over the siblings no matter how far apart they are.

  14. Mal says:

Oooooh…. I've got goosebumps. Yeah, I hope they get that scene right, but there's nothing we can do about it. I'm gonna watch the movie with an open mind.

  15. Pepper Darcy says:

I could forgive a little bit of freedom on the undragoning (as long as it didn't reek of 'man's work' vs. 'God's grace)… as long as they got Lucy' prayer right and the world's ending and the 'another name' right 😀

  16. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

I thought you've seen that part.

  17. WarriorOfNarnia says:

I hate youtube!!! It's blocked on my computer!

  18. WarriorOfNarnia says:

Was the music "Here comes the King" or something different.

  19. Not Of This World says:

The fist time I sent in something and it got in!

  20. Not Of This World says:

I do too! And that show is awesome! It's not about polotics at all! It's about exploring the great state of Alaska!

  21. adamie says:

Good tv-spot, but why during Palin's program???

  22. Caspian says:

…okay, did anyone else have a Star Wars deja-vu moment? "The force will be with you…always." And Liam Neeson was Qui-Gon…*groan*

No, seriously, the line was cool. Really cool. I'm excited about that final scene and afraid I'm going to totally lose it in the theatre. *cross fingers* FOR NARNIA!!!

  23. dacostpa says:

WOW!! Awesome TV Spot! The excitement is definitely mounting! The quality of this video wasn't that good though and it was difficult to see. Will NarniaWeb post a better quality copy of it (or post a link to a better quality copy of it) when one is located? I truly hope so, and I would really appreciate it. Please post a formal trailer announcement and link when a better quality copy is posted and/or discovered. Thanks!

  24. Twinimage says:

Hmm, interesting. I knew that they would most likely change words around and this is most likely proof of that.
But I just hope it doesn't change the meaning, as other past lines from the past two films were changed.
    We'll see.

  25. Rilian says:

    No White Witch! Yay!

  26. Queen Su says:

I saw this last night and it got me so excited! 🙂

  27. Not Of This World says:

That was funny! May the force be with you Narnians!

  28. Manuel says:

    I agree.

  29. Xenithar says:

    YES!! I am SO excited!!

  30. Annabeth says:

nice, I never thought of that. lol. whatever, i'm SO glad they're including it.

  31. Fire vien says:

Cool!! But I wonder what that part with Peter and Susan was?

  32. Mirima Rosetrader says:

I sounded like he was saying "I will be watching you always to me." But still I'm so glad he's saying that! 😀

  33. Narnian Meerkat says:

You're welcome glumPuddle! 🙂 But I was a bit dissapointed when I was watching Sarah Palin's Alaska last night with my family. Because I thought they were going to show a SNEEK PEEK SNEEK PEEK, not just some tv spot we never seen before! Oh, well, at least they're not spoiling the movie so much! 😀

  34. samuel says:

Very true, they never give you the the whole ending… even if you took all of the trailers and TV spots and edited together all the clips you still couldn't put together the ending, you can make assumptions, but that's usually only if you've read the book or seen story synopsis. This line might lead fans of the series (who have not read the book) to wonder if this mean Lucy's not coming back to narnia, which is true at least in the book, but even if you read the book this line could even fit on the dark island, when Lucy prays to Aslan for help and comfort, it is conceivable that she sees this in a vision, or perhaps the visual shot is not in the movie, but the dialog is taken from inside the Magicians house… just a thought.

  35. Samuel the Magnificent says:

omg!! that's funny! Did you know they're making another Star Wars movie. It's going to be episode 7!

  36. What did Aslan say? I couldn't tell. Other than that, great!

  37. NewMillenium says:

He says, "I shall be watching you. Always."

  38. Cynical Narnia Fanboy says:

In 0:36, a new clip looks like Ramandu's daughter is doing something to the Aslan's Table/three sleepers…

  39. SavedByGrace says:

Yup; that line is one of my favorites in the whole book! I am so glad they're inculding it.

  40. narnian resident says:

i saw this last night because my mom and i were watching that Sarah Palin show! i did hear that line, and it was so beautiful i wanted to tear up! it got me very excited! im very happy that put something like that in there. its very beautiful and touching. (i have a feeling this is gonna make some people cry at the theaters :-))

  41. Not Of This World says:

Are you sure? There has been a couple rumors of this.

  42. Puddleglum says:

I think you mean the re-release of the original trilogy in 3-D.
Lucas has had that on the burner for awhile.

  43. Not Of This World says:

I heard about that. Episode 1 comes out in 3D 2012. Then we can see Liam Neeson again 😉

  44. Delpheas says:

Aslan: I shall be with you. Always.

  45. Casue says:

Yeah, i hate that cuz if there's a fight, and you think someone is going to die, you can tell by trailers if you haven't seen one of thier parts yet. So they live.
I hate when that happens, cuz i cry for no reason…
But now that i remember it, there was a commercial with Susan + Caspian kissing in it for PC, and that got me confused, cuz i was ten and had just finished the book series…. and they had like NO dialogue together in the book.
I like movie Susan better, she's tougher.
The Tough Gentle Queen. Talk about Oxymoron.
OHHHHHHH now i know why Susan doesn't fight in the books…
    Brain Fart.
    I really got off topic.

What if all the Narnia charcters were in Star Wars?!
    *Chibi Casue begins to Doodle*
    Fanfic inspiration!!!!!!
    Okay, calm down Chibi Casue…
    Good point, though…
But i don think the writers would do that….'
    But you never know….

  47. Casue says:

    Sweetness

  48. Ted C says:

Oh geez, this is recorded off someone's tv?! You have got to be kidding me.
