Transition to Narnia Video

Clevver TV has recently uploaded to the internet a clip of the transition to Narnia scene. Some footage of the arrival that we have previously seen is missing from this, but there is also new material. This includes Caspian’s much-debated first line to Lucy. For those of you worried, there’s no Susan in it.

Thanks to Grant Wilson, Pepper Darcy, and NolanFilm for the heads up!

Ed: Lucy, have you seen this ship before?
    Lucy: Yes, it's very Narnian-looking isn't it?
Ed: Yeah, just another reminder that we're here and not there…
Eustace: "There once were two orphans who wasted their time, believing in Narnian nursery rhymes." What's so fasinating about that picture anyway? It's hideous!
Lucy: Edmund, it looks like the water is actually moving.
Eustace: What rubbish! See? That what happens when you read that fanciful novels and fairytales of yours.
    Lucy: Edmund, the painting!
Eustace: I'll smash the old thing!
    Ed: No Eustace! No!
    Eustace: Help me!
    Lucy: Let go!
Caspian: It's all right! I've got you!
    Lucy: Caspian!
Caspian: Lucy! It's all right boys! Hold on.

  2. totally epic!
lol I wonder why Caspian is kind of glaring at Lucy just before they are lifted out of the water…..
    ?
    I love this clip!

  3. LL says:

Jaws music at 0:52-0:58 LOL !!!!!!!

  4. Follower of Aslan says:

I have this sinking feeling that Caspian still shouts "Susan!" BEFORE he jumps ship to rescue them. They cut here to showing three people jump into the water, but what about before that? when Caspian first sees them? Suspian fans will be pleased…
    I will not.

Yet there are probably a few things in this movie I will have to ignore, and fall IN LOVE with the rest of it! 😀

  5. Follower of Aslan says:

haha, yes there is! I hear it too! 😛

  6. To be or not says:

OMG!! That's hilarious! It's got to be the lost audition tape for Jaws…Ahaha! 😉

  7. ~DaughterOfEve~ says:

    Brilliant! I love it!

  8. To be or not says:

Eustace at 1:04 flailing his arms and Edmund all calm. Gotta love it, Hehehe!!!

  9. BuddingActress says:

Thank you! That makes much more sense now.

  10. BuddingActress says:

I'm really much more of Lucy/Caspian fan myself. Don't know what I ever saw in Caspian/Susan? There's just more depth between Lucy and Caspian. And, yes, we will LOVE this movie.

  11. Braden Woodburn says:

OMGoooosh! The transportations to Narnia are always awesome and unique.. and of course magical! Cannot wait to see this movie! Less than a month!!

  12. Princess Lucy says:

i love the way georgie says "Yes, its very narnian looking" with the facial expressions she gives…brilliant and eustrace makes me laugh when he teases the pevensies…again brilliant acting..they couldn't have made a better choice with the portrayal of eustrace…edmund also cute and mature…lastly caspian wow has become much more mature and ben's acting skills is really clever…

  13. De_De says:

I agree, Georgie's performance is wonderful! Skander and Will look great, but when I was Ben…WOW! And there is no Susan in there!!!!!

  14. Not Of This World says:

I just read that part yesterday! That was BRILIANT!!!!

  15. Awel Prince says:

I *highly* doubt he yells anything about Susan because (1) Aslan said she was NEVER coming back and Aslan doesn't lie, (2) Lucy recongizes him before he recongizes her, (3) why would he shout "I'll save you Susan" when in all actually he has no idea who those people are? They could be pirates for all he knows, (4) he was standing on a ship above them, I think you'd be pretty hardpressed to recongize anyone at that distance before you dive in (they're just dark specks in the water really), lastly (5) It's been a couple years since the events of Prince Caspain, Caspain would have to be quite the silly sap to still be thinking about Susan (who is never coming back as he WELL knows) and especially while he's on a quest to save lost lords. Just some logical thoughts about that little rumor. Not being combative or anything, it's just not very logical to include that in the movie. Besides Apted is a new director, he doesn't have to keep the Su/Caspain romance.

  16. Kris says:

EEEE! so exciting. I love it!

  17. pselpevensie says:

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT ON THE BIG SCREEN!!!!!!!

  18. DearHeart says:

If this is the actual footage with no pieces taken out then Caspian couldn't say anything about Susan but, if by chance this is another clip pieced together than it could be possible. We'll just have to wait and see. – What Might Have Happened –

  19. Old Narnian says:

aww, can't see it its gone, fox removed it

  20. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

    SWEEEEET!!!!!
I'm glad that they kept Eustace's opinion of the picture in there.
And boy is it cool how they get sucked into the picture!

  21. they are showing that clip! no fair! that's revealing!

  22. Brian in Calgary says:

I know that I am not saying anything original here, but I am so looking forward to December 10. VDT will be only the third movie in my life (I'm 56) that I've seen on opening night (LWW & PC being the other two).

I do wonder, however, if they will in any way explain the change in accent for the Telmarines, or just let it go. Personally, I would hope they just let it go UNLESS they have a convincing explanation (and they just might). Better no explanation at all than a poor one.

  23. Samuel the Magnificent says:

It's so funny because this is exactly how I always imagined it being if it was ever made into a movie. When I tried to picture them flying into a painting I could tell it would be really cheezy in a movie. So I tried to think of way for it to stay close to the book but look better on a movie and this is exactly what I imagined! Water coming out of the picture, filling up the room with water, and when they surface, they're in the ocean. They must have read my mind. lol

  24. elizabeth says:

is it me or does the song when they're in the water (lucy, edmund, eustuce) the song sounds like the jaws main theme song?

  25. To be or not says:

LOL someone said that a few posts ago

  26. blueRain says:

    Cool.

  27. samuel says:

I don't care for this transition actually, though I don't know how they could have done it better. Ever since I first saw clips it reminded me of the old kids show "Jungle Jam and friends the radio show" every episode Marvy Snuffleson would get locked in his bed-room, then he would start staring at something with water in it, which would start to overflow, pretty soon he would be floating on his bed out "on the open sea" … I one episode was even a picture of a waterfall that came to life and started overflowing

  28. Adeona says:

    Thank you Greg!

Now, if they hadn't edited out "Susan!" Caspian's first line would read:
"It's all right! I've got you Susan!"

That's when we've been told he says it.

  29. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

  33. To be or not says:

    "Hold on…"

  34. Puzzly says:

They really shouldn't be in it at all but they have cameos so at least be glad for that!

  35. Zhixara says:

*swoon* 😀 I am going to be sooo happy for this movie!

  36. WholeHearted says:
