That wasn't the White Witch. It was the Green Mist.
These are either the most discouraging or the most deceptive pieces of VDT marketing that I've seen. There was really nothing eencouraging about them.

I know. As I stated earlier, this is nearly false advertising. Her role is probably, at maximum, two minutes long.
But they are still smart to advertise Tilda's role, however small it may be.
More people will be interested in the film. 😉
And the more tickets "Dawn Treader" sells, the more likely we will get more "Narnia" movies. 😀
Besides, it looks as if The Green Mist will be the central "villain" of the film. Tilda simply gives it a face and a voice. That is probably why she is on the posters as well.
This is the first time I've ever seen any ad say "Also in 2-D". Seriously, how many movies have there been that were in 3-D, but not 2-D?

we don't have a TV, but (ha, ha, a Narniaweb e-mail notice just popped up on my screen and here I am! Lol) I was brushing my hair Saturday at my great grandma's and I heard the TV in the other room and thought, 'wow, where have I heard that music? Hm…' and I brushed my hair a little longer, then I thought 'NARNIA!' so I rushed in to catch the 'credits' of what I thik was a TV spot! :/

I really wish they would stop saying, "The witch will rise," considering we now know the witch is only making a cameo. Anyway, I did see these two on TV over the weekend on our camera. I was going to put them on YouTube, but oh well.
what is with "the witch will rise"????? do they seriously have a thing with her that they have to make her out to be so big, when we've already had someone who's seen the movie tell us she's hardly there???? i dont understand. what is the reason for that? i am absolutely stumped about this whole Witch-obssession thing!

For everyone complaining about the White Witch…you have to understand, she is considered one of the best fantasy villains of all time. Tilda Swinton won quite a lot of critical attention because of her acting. Therefore, it is a good bit of publicity to have her in the trailers. After all, she is someone that everyone who saw the other movies will recognize (people love familiarity).
And we don't have to worry, since we already know how little of a role she has.

I just saw Trailer #3 during Dancing With the Stars (my roommates were watching it and i looked up when i heard the trailer)It's reassuring to see the trailer on a channel other than Nickelodeon or Fox {DWTS is on ABC}. Hopefully this means we can start seeing trailers more frequently on more channels.

HORRIBLE TV SPOTS!!!! Seriously, both of them flat out lie about the story line, making it seem like they've changed much, much more than they have. They seem tailored to people who've never read the book and will make anyone who has feel sick.

Maybe they are bowing to the Magician? He's the head of the house and so it's very likely they are greeting each other.
Or it could be Aslan, but I can't see them putting Aslan in that scene. I doubt he'll appear to Lucy after she makes things visible. Since I doubt she'll perform the spell about ease dropping on your friends. Thus, no need for Aslan to appear and reprimand her. IMO, they're focusing too much on the beauty spell. I know they want to give Lucy a story arc, but I don't know if that's the best story to give Lucy. They'll have Lucy make snow and then the beauty spell, then she'll make things visible. That's my guess. There might be references though to the others that are mentioned in the book.
As for "Enemies will Unite", I really think that's false advertising, just like when they say the White Witch will rise. Don't worry about it.

In the soundtrack listing, during the songs for the Magician's Island, there is a track entitled "Aslan Appears". I'd be very willing to guess from that that Lucy does indeed make him visible in this scene.
