Georgie Henley to Star in ‘The Sisterhood of Night’

According to Deadline, Georgie Henley (Lucy) has been cast in the leading role in The Sisterhood of Night. Georgie will play Mary, a member of a New Jersey suburban secret society.

Synopsis: When the high school’s gossip girl exposes a secret society called The Sisterhood of Night, the quiet town of Fairview is thrown into the public eye and blogosphere. What follows is a chronicle of three girls’ unique and provocative alternative to the complexities of the digital abyss.

Thanks to ‘Narnian1’ for the alert.
You can also see Anna Popplewell (Susan) in the trailer for Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (thanks to ‘lionlass’) and William Mosely in the trailer for Run.

It's been nice to see the Walden Narnia cast getting some more diverse roles outside of the Narnia films. I wish Georgie and the rest of the cast well.

This is awesome! I'm glad Georgie has found another role to play. i'm still waiting among others for Perfect Sister to come out.

The Halo 4 series that Anna is in I've been watching already and they're really good there's four episodes that are already up on youtube with her.

Needs to check out Run trailer.

    Yeah! News!!!!

I'm glad to see that Georgie, Anna, and William are still getting movie roles. And a leading role!!! Congrats Georgie!

Yay, Georgie! I'm going to go Google this movie….

    Finally someone reports this stuff!

Complete news on "The Sisterhood of Night" is on my website (see news and blogroll), along with most Georgie fan sites – Georgie Central, Georgie Henley Life, Georgie Henley Rocks, etc.

This film also stars Kara Hayward (Moonrise Kingdom), Kal Penn (lots of stuff), and Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad, A Knight's Tale, etc). No release date has been given. Filming begins this week in Kingston, New York (Hudson Valley) – even with Sandy. I thought it was postponed – wrong.

I created a post about "Sisterhood," Kingston, the Catskills, and the Hudson Valley on my travel blog. http://skangie.travellerspoint.com/6/

I hear Georgie's new film is a modern retelling of the Salem Witch Trials. I'm actually more excited about her role in Perfect Sisters. Now that sounds interesting. I guess she's good in creepy roles.

I watched the trailer for Run, and um…honestly, it looks kind of freaking awesome. I would probably be interested in it even if it wasn't Will Moseley in the lead. Low quality trailer, but still intriguing. And with his aptitude for stunts, he must have had a blast on set.

Did anyone else think it was funny that both Will and Anna got an aaaaaaaaalmostbutnotquite kiss?

  7. TheeNarnianMeerkat says:

This is probably a UK movie only, but it would be interesting to see it. Never seen Georgie Henley in another movie before. And if I could see it I hope it's good haha.

  8. TheeNarnianMeerkat says:

Hm, I just googled it and it actually sounds pretty interesting. Almost sounds like a horror movie XD

  9. DamselJillPole says:

Anna and that guy in trailer actually did kiss at that part in the series. You should see it on youtube. They have about 5 parts up now and they are really good.

I'm more interested in the Sisterhood movie than "Perfect Sisters" (which I've seen and reviewed). Sisterhood has a much richer historical and literary background. I think it has a better production team too, re: promotion. I don't think Georgie's role is exactly 'creepy.' It's not a horror film.

I'd love to read your review, Skangie. Is it spoiler-free?

  12. DamselJillPole says:

**SPOILERS AHEAD** Iwill be writing a review on this soon in Anna Popplewell's thread. All the episodes of the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn are already uploaded. I think Anna did a fabulous job as Kyler although SPOILER Alert (Don't read next if you do not want to know what happens with her character)……. I hated her death scene (because her character was amazing) I'm actually still crying over it.

  13. TheeNarnianMeerkat says:

Hm, really? Anna Popplewell was the voice of a character in the video game Halo 4? Cool.

  14. Skangie says:

Is my review spoiler-free? No. It probably reveals too much. But if you still want to read it, go to my website and click on 'Perfect Sisters' under 'news' (blogroll on the right). You can also see the top story on this webpage.

UK movie – Run or Sisterhood of Night? The latter is being filmed in Kingston, New York, near the Catskills. Think Washington Irving! It’s a modern retelling of the Salem Witch Trials, not exactly a horror movie. They said it would have cyberbullying too.

Neither RUN nor The Sisterhood of Night is a UK-produced film. Both films are from the US (and so is Halo 4).

    yup

Whoa, I'm surprised. I never actually thought the pevensies could be great actors/actresses. I got the feeling, however, that Poulter and Barnes would last.

I know not to judge a book by it's cover, but the description of this movie sounds like a cheesy Disney Channel movie 🙂 lol

  21. Lilliandil says:

No, not in the game. It's a 5-part web series that they made to get people involved in the game. She acts as Chyler Silvia. The 2nd main character… She is amazing! I've seen 2 of the episodes and Im going to watch the rest when I have a chance… Everyone (even non-HALO fans) should watch it!

  22. Daniel says:

Anna was AMAZING in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. Loved the dynamics of here character. and RUN looks great, I was really hoping they would cast Will as Finnick Odair in the next Hunger Games movie, but no luck.

I also found out she was in "Perfect Sisters", did she just change her accent?! She sounds very American. Here's the clip I saw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujURtWScLV0
