April Fool: ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ Reboot Announcement Trailer

*** APRIL FOOL! ***

A short “announcement trailer” has been released for the start of a brand new Chronicles of Narnia franchise, releasing 2018. View it below:

Read the press release over at Narnia.com.

Fans will recognize Aslan’s dialogue from the final chapter of The Silver Chair, but “announcement trailer” implies that this footage was created specifically for the trailer and therefore will not appear in the actual film. It is also worth noting that the logo at the end is new, and “The” has been removed from the title.

No other information at this time. Stay tuned!

I believed this for the first moments. My emotions went from elation at another movie, horror at the "& zombies" and then complete and utter relief when I realized the date. Happy April Fools Day! Good one

  2. Andrew says:

Thank God it's April Fools Day, because if this was real, C.S. Lewis himself would come back as a zombie just to slaughter the movie producers responsible!

  3. wolfloversk says:

XD I would have been fooled if I hadn't been thinking about pranking my family when I saw this. Good one!

The only part I don't really like is the zombie part. I liked the other stuff, but then, it's not so different from what we actually, just a bit more modernized. lol.

I might have been taken in, except I visited here because it's april, and I go to all the usual places each year to see how they're celebrating. 🙂

  9. I know what day it is and I've been on narniaweb long enough to know this is a joke… LOL

  14. The Rose-Tree Dryad says:

If I'd seen this post this morning, I don't think I would have been fooled, but you should've seen the look on my face at 1 AM when I innocently logged onto NarniaWeb at the end of a long day. XDDD You had me until "zombies"!

  15. I saw this on Facebook and went: *sigh* It's April 1st. If only it weren't April 1st. If only this were real. 🙁 But I decided to watch it anyway. And it made me sadder than before. 😛

  16. Emerald says:

I was horrified at first! But then I read the comments. I'm so glad it was an April Fools joke!

  17. twinimage says:

What if it isn’t an April Fool’s Day joke? Think about – maybe they got wind of NarniaWeb’s April Fool’s Day Jinx. So they contact NarniaWeb and pay them to post an announcement trailer knowing that it will be considered a joke. They could be hoping to trick people into saying that it is a good idea or they could come back later and say that they gave NarniaWebbers an advance peak. Or they can hope NarniaWebbers blame themselves. It has random snow it has to be real. Even if it is a joke, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do go this direction at some point. They like to make the Chronicles more like Hollywood and Zombies are big right now. Look at Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. There are also things that could be taken as references to Zombies in former movies and the books. I am by no means an expert but from what I have gathered Zombies eat humans or at least parts of human. The White Witch needs human blood to come back. Perhaps she comes back as a Zombie – the human blood turns her into a Zombie Witch. We know that witches never die – one can always get them back. Maybe Caspian didn’t have it quite right it wasn’t an accursed ghost; it was a Zombie Nikabrik wanted to call. In the Last Battle people and creatures who died get up and come into the stable. The way I understand it, Zombies are kind of dead and kind of alive. That could explain how the people and creatures get up after they died. They are dead but yet can still use their bodies.

  22. Eustace says:

I totally fooled my brother with this trailer. I had to tell him it was April 1st because he thought it was real and was horified.

  23. High king Peter says:

April fools is a curse hereafter
    >:(

  24. LoyalAsABadger says:

I just want to say that I don't believe a word I wrote about Zombie references in Narnia or NarniaWeb being in the pay of the movie makers. I wrote it in the spirit of the day. MOVIEMAKERS – Please no Zombies in Narnia!!!!

  25. Hermit of the Northern March says:

Sorry for the belated response. I am so glad Narnia isn't a zombie series – but this video was very fun.
But… what if there are zombies in the Narnia movies? Wasn't Jadis sort of a zombie since she appeared in PC and Voyage?

  26. Katy says:

I just don't understand:this film really will be? I hope not, it'll be awful

  27. TheeNarnianMeerkat says:
