Edmund in a “Dungeon”

Skandar is still at Cleveland. But instead of being on the magical Dawn Treader Edmund is filthy, bruised and finding himself in another dungeon.
Perhaps this is referring to Edmund and the others being captured by Pug?

That's what I thought….because there aren't any other dungeons of any kind in VDT, unless they change the story entirely. 🙂 A dungeon isn't mentioned after they're captured by Pug, but he has to keep them somewhere overnight, right?

I'm sure it's when Pug takes them to the slave market. I wonder if Edmund will mention anything about the last time when he was in the White Witch's prison, maybe to tie in the other movies and as a reminder of how much Edmund has changed since LWW.

I think you have a point about LWW. When I read the quote from his website, my first thought was the dungeon the White Witch throws Edmund in. Remember Tumnus and stale bread? 😉

The info was from SKANDAR's official site, so it only mentions him, but it is implied that the others are there as well.
No-one said it was JUST Edmund though. Since it is Skandars official site it's only commenting on what Skandar is doing. The others could be (and very probably are) there too.
Good thinking, 7chronicles. I'd be really cool if that's why. My little brother says you should be the director for the next movie when I told him your idea! LOL! But I wouldn't be surprised. U should tell them that idea. Not that you would, or anything. I mean, I wouldn't be brave enough to tell them. But I TOTALLY am killing myself for videos or pics of my dearest in a dungeon!!!! CANNOT wait for the movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm – I wonder what SORT of dungeon it is. When I think of "dungeon", I think of the dark, dank, underground type of dungeon. But they could be in a "dungeon" in Pug's slave ship too…

Yes, it makes sense that Narrowhaven would have one for when the slaves are taken off the slave ships.
Please, please let it be Pug's slaveholding dungeon. Otherwise it would be completely unlike the book. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it has to do with Pug.
The LWW dungeon is NOT in the DT book at all. This is a totally separate dungeon, one that is hopefully part of the slave scene when Pug has them.
But are they even in a dungeon in the book? I thought they were just in the slave ship's hold.

Awsome! I also think that it's from the pugs slave sceen and it would be a great moment for lucy and edmund because if you think about it edmund would have to confort lucy after caspian gets sold and he has to be there to tell eustace to be quiet.^^
Well, they are sold at the slave market before Caspian and the others arrive there. So it does leave the door open for them to be taken there the night before, when Caspian spends the night with Lord Bern.
Hopefully this is Pug's slave ship.
Ah, another "Lewis leaving room for detai" thing. Could be. I'm certainly not against the idea, it actually sounds kind of neat.
The part that worries me here is "another dungeon." Now that is either absolutely nothing and is simply referring to him being in the White witch's dungeon in LWW, or it means he is in a dungeon twice in VDT. I'm hoping it's the former.

I say captured by Pug too. Lucy has to be too though as does Eustace and Lucy. Caspian is lucky and gets bought before he is on Pug's ship (Man that sounds weird, Caspian being bought). Any pictures of him? I hope there is. OMG!!! I cannot wait to see this part in the movie! I love captures! They are so exciting! Sail on VDT!!! Long live King Caspian!
this is cool, having them all dirty and bruised from being with the slave trade. it would be cool if they stayed overnight. it would make it more interesting, as we wait for caspian to do his thing after he was bought.
How interesting! There could be another dungeon, if you think about it, they may choose to use a land based dungeon rather the the hold of Pug's ship. The Lone Islands are really the only place there could be a dungeon, in my mind. Who knows perhaps they will do something really interesting with the "Dark Island" and have really big, graphic, nightmares that everyone gets involved in. Maybe with Edmund imagining he's in a dungeon and can't defend his friends (going back to the thoughts of being in the White Witch's dungeon). That sort of thing is easily imagined in filmaking.
If it's not Pug's dungeon, then I could become very annoyed.
Man, I so remember the book and I have read it all. Just, for some reason them being in a dungeon doesn't ring a bell. Hmm, guess I will just have to watch the whole movie put together. Thanks for the info!

The old BBC version took this liberty… They placed the kids and Reepicheep in a dungeon-like hold on the mainland overnight, so the scene would not be without precedence.
My guess is that Will and Georgie are filming there as well. The report was from Skandar's website, and it seems to me that they would just report on Skandar, not necessarily on his co-stars.

I see what you all are saying. And it's in the book. 🙂 If you remember, Lucy starts to cry after Lord Bern buys Caspian and takes him away. But then Pug tells her to stop crying cause she would ruin her looks for the slave trade the NEXT DAY. Just a thought. Sail on! Yeah. They were captured by Pug and his motly crew and everything, but the only time in the book where they were held anywhere was the slave ship, if I remember right. I just hope that the filmmakers don't get to many creative ideas and the next thing we know we are all horrified by some scene where Ed is beaten by the slave traders or something like that…
Poor Skandar! He gets to be bruised and locked up in jail on two Narnia movies!!!! 🙂
