Yeah I heard what she said alright !!! And you better get your army ready because I WILL start the first Narnian war on here !!! Narnian Trader !!!

  2. Princess Jennifer says:

    I want to fight you !!!! But I won"t….. For Aslan…….For Queen Elizabeth……Long Live Narnia !!!

  3. Anhun says:

They said that they had resurrected the franchise when they saw the initial foreign box office. Unfortunately, foreign business seems to be dropping off, so I don't know if they still feel that way :(. For my part, I would absolutely love to see the Horse and His Boy finally on the screen, but it looks like it will never be (why don't they have an emoticon for hysterical sobbing?).

  4. Anhun says:

It's all a part of a nefarious plot! He's using secret code to let Independent Lucy know he's gathering an army of teenage mutant ninja centaurs to fight on her side.

  5. Queen Elizabeth says:

I am not going to write on here anymore. This is ridiculous. When Independent Lucy said she wanted to be Jill in Silver Chair I was all for that. I wanted to be friends with Independent Lucy, and I accidentaly made her mad. Can we be friends on here? Cause I don't want people to be all "for Queen Elizabeth". And Princess Jennifer, please don't write about me. Why would you want to?

  6. Not Of This World says:

Okay guys this is getting out of hand. You guys are being immature. Just stop.

  7. Queen Elizabeth says:

And dear Independent Lucy, please don't become all "evil" just so you can "fight" against Princess Jennifer. Please. We are all on Aslan's side, at least I hope.

  8. Narnian says:

I agree [I don't want to be in any fight]. But you guys were dealing that pretty awful. You can lose friends that way and you don't want to do that. Take it easy!

  9. Queen Elizabeth says:

Yea I'm just gonna drop the whole thing (even though I'm going on right now lol) It's pretty stupid. 😛

  10. Queen Elizabeth says:

Your book sounds good 🙂 But I actually don't like people writing other people's ideas. I totally respect your love for Narnia 🙂 But maybe you could come up with your own story that doesn't have to do with CS. Lewis' ideas. You could prbably come up with great new characters and a new storyline. But it can still take place in medieval times and have like minotoars and fawns and stuff 🙂 Keep writing! 🙂

  11. Narnian says:

I think this is a good time for everyone to say that your sorry and forgive each other

  12. Not Of This World says:

    Hear hear!

  13. Princess Jennifer says:

Ok, I"m Sorry Lucy……..I"m sorry Elizabeth…..I hope you still like Narniaweb…..I will be leaving now.

  14. Independent Lucy says:

Ok, I"m sorry…….It really was stupid wasn"t it ? Sorry everybody . But Queen Elizabeth….. I personally think that Princess Jennifer likes you …..I should know……She"s the only one she talks too. Please keep writing to her. Secretly, I think she needs you.

  15. You can believe whatever you want, but you will find very few people who would agree with you, and you would be denying the idea that Dawn Treader could follow in the tracks of previous films that have held-up surprisingly well over the holidays. I just hope no one believes you because you've provided so real evidence for making a rather silly and extreme blanket statement.

On a brighter note, I see on Box Office Mojo that Dawn Treader did extremely well on Monday. It brought in 36% more revenue than it did last Monday. Folks, the film is picking up steam!

  16. Princess Jennifer says:

Because I was looking for a friend. Can you please keep writing too me. I know I was a jerk and too forward. I will quit and find new friends but meanwhile…Can you please still write me ? Tell me tommorrow….I need to go to bed.

  17. Princess Jennifer says:

    I'm Sorry

  18. Princess Jennifer says:

    I"m Sorry

I think the main problem with the DVD sales was that they made us wait so long for it!!! Instead of four months after being in theatres it was, what- 7 months before DVD release? for a film that wasn't really worth holding your breath for in the first place? They lost the momentum-even interested people forgot about it probably- average people DO have lives and can't aways keep track of the latest movie studio decisions. I waited and waited, and kept track, only the narnia fanatics will do that, and I was frustrated, never mind the average person. And the main problem with PC was: it was just DOUR. A DOWNER. BLEAK. You can create that atmosphere for a Robert DeNiro movie, Taxi Driver, say, but for a family franchise?? Whaaaa? You can have conflict in a movie, or a battle, but frame the problem with scenes with color- like the first movie did. Why wasn't there more "pastoral scenes" as Dr. Devin Brown describes it? There are a ton of book scenes after the battle where they celebrate the victory where we could have some character development. It would have leaft us with a celebratory taste in our mouths as we left the theatre. Why was Trumpkin a sourpuss when he was supposed to be warm and supportive? Why was Peter crotchety? (it was nice to see him back to normal in his VDT cameo) why was Susan so cold constantly? why was Lucy devoid of any personality when she was such a firecracker? everyone was so DRAB. these are production & directing decisions and they made the wrong ones. It was not pleasurable to watch for a family. It was not the audience's fault or lack of interest- if they had been faithful to the material it would have been successful ENOUGH- as a sequel WOULD do. Maybe 80% of LWW's take. They should have CUT the production budget, NOT squandered it and should have aligned their projections with reality. It was not as popular a book- they should have just been BUDGET minded, skated through PC to get to the enormously beloved VDT, and been faithful to the material. And I'm not ignorant of cinematic issues- Moving the undragoning to the end of the movie in VDT made sense, also the sea serpent battle- cause that's how movies flow. That was sensible. Fine. But don' think you can improve on a genius and university professor with multiple degrees when most hollywood script writers of today were weaned on MTV and have barely read more than SPIN magazine their whole adolescence, let alone the classics. So PC was butchered, and VDT politically corrected, and then they blame the returns on the audience? THIS SERIES IS ****GOLD******- GIVE THE AUDIENCE WHAT THEY WANT- CS LEWIS-NOT THE LUKEWARM, POLITICALLY CORRECT, WHITEWASH!!! Let the series MEAN WHAT IT is SUPPOSED TO. The families and spiritually minded audiences will show up in droves, and more than make up for the teen boy crowd you are so afraid of alienating. Be BRAVE and INCLUDE the subtext! not defang it!! review the numbers for the passion of the christ again if you need an example of sticking to your guns and being countercultural. COUNTERPROGRAM!!

  20. Princess Jennifer says:

    I"m so sorry

  21. Princess Jennifer says:

I"m absolutely so sorry….to both of you.

  22. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

    LB AND HHB ROCKKKKKKK!

  23. Queen Elizabeth says:

Ok everyone 🙂 I'm so happy this is over 🙂 Princess Jennifer I would love to be your friend on here. But I think wanting to know all my information is a bit creepy lol no offense.

  24. Princess Jennifer says:

I"m real sorry, truthfully I was looking for friends…..Queen Elizabeth so far is the only one who has actually talked to me. I know you will probably never do this….but ….. can you be my friend ?

  25. Queen Elizabeth says:

To Independent Lucy: Do you personally know Princess Jennifer or something? idk I was just curious. And um if so I don't know what is so appealing about me to people lol, I seem to express myself better in words than in person.

  26. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

read the last book of the bible then reread LB -you'll enjoy it- after all, it won the Carnegie Medal for Literature. A story that is an analogy will have more impact when you understand what it is refering to.

  27. Princess Jennifer says:

None taken !!!!! I am absolutely SO happy !!!! You made my night !!!! I"M so happy this is over too !!! I thought you would never talk to me again !! Thank you !! God Bless you !!! Oh Wait….I'm being too forward again…aren't I? Sorry. I won"t be a creep anymore I promise !! Thank you !!

  28. Independent Lucy says:

To Queen Elizabeth: I know this isn"t personal anyway… but don"t tell anyone……She is my next door neighbor.

  29. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

tell the vatican to give it a plug!!

  30. Independent Lucy says:

I guess because you are trying to stop the fight you are the leader on here but actually….I don"t like blogging like I thought I would so thanks !! but..bye !!

  31. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

the problem is it would be politically incorrect to make HHB, it was a hidden warning about/against islam

  32. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

    you mean "brainwashing"…

  33. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

don't write off the Man Upstairs : )

  34. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

yeah, it was their handling after LWW that created the problems, not the fans

  35. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

you are more intelligent and sophisticated than them, that's why. There are millions of adult fanatics of Narnia. You are to be commended for your good taste. Sorry about your juvenile peers. : )

  36. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

    Anhun, u r 2 funny LOL

  37. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

I don't know, this is the first girl fight Ive ever seen on Narniaweb, of all places, ha ha

  38. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

let's hope you must eat your words, you Pluddleglum! haha

  39. @Anhun, you are right in the sense that the book does spend a lot of tying up loose ends. And, as I contended earlier, I do not think that is a bad thing.
However, I don't think that the story does little more than tie up loose ends. To me, LB is a wonderful (though admittedly dark) tale of action and adventure. It only has one physical battle, towards the end, but it has many battles within the mind. It is a story of finding the truth, I believe. Eustace, Jill and Tirian are told that Aslan is ordering all these creatures to do horrible things, but they know that he would not do that. So there is a battle going on in their minds: will they believe the 'evidence' of other witnesses, or will they trust in what Aslan has shown them before?
Saying this, I do not think that LB should be made into a movie. For younger kids, it would be too violent. Older people wouldn't understand the allegory, and think it was too weird. I reckon LB is one of those stories that is told best in words rather than pictures 🙂

Sheesh, High Queene Shelly Belly… the scenery & cinematography in PC was great. The kingdom of Narnia was in abit of turmoil since we last saw it but that's the book & story of PC as much as the film adaptation. Got to remember, it's not a seven part Lion, Witch & Wardrobe, it's a seven part Chronicles of Narnia with it's whole color spectrum.
Her majesty exercised strong perseverance in the wait for the dvd & is a trait of nobility i'd warrent, & a point well made in relation to dvd sales.

I have read information about the calormons…what they represent apparantly they could represent the indians or arabs…in HHB these characters worship tash and some creature with lots of arms..thats something that hindus worship..rather islam worship God…but the apparance may look Arabian or Indian..it depends what the filmmakers decide…but you are right about this film might be a political problem..but then again their are bad as well as good calormons such as Aravis!!!

  42. Princess Lucy says:

  43. Crass says:

Wow, thought the movie was great..first time they got the adaptation right. Hated the way the first two were adapted. This one was small, intimate and pure adventure..it flew by. LWAW was disappointing, I still can't sit thru Prince Caspian without falling asleep and the accents are horrible. The music score was amazing..disliked the new agey score mixed with clannad type singing of the first two. Was very pleased and the end credits tribute to Pauline Baines was magical. I was thrown off for most of the movie cuz it looked like it was shot on some sort of Hi_def video and it took me out of it for a while but I eneded up forgetting about it half way thru. But they really scaled back the budget on this one and I dare say it made it infinitely more creative..so there should be a Silver Chair after foreign sales and DVD sales will probably be very good for this one.

  44. Anhun says:

There is no way anyone who knows anything about Islam can argue that Tash worship bears any resemblance to Islam, or that HHB is anti-Muslim. If you've studied ancient history, you can see how Lewis took elements of ancient Carthaginian and Etruscan (tarquin anyone?) culture and wove them together to create the fictional Calormenes.

One element that Lewis borrowed from Carthaginian culture was their religion. The god Baal, worshipped by the Carthaginians was a ruthless god, much like Tash. Now Lewis made some modifications. He left out the child sacrifice and the other members of the Carthaginian pantheon, but of world religions, Baalism is the one that most resembles Tash worship. But who knows, Hollywood might not want to offend Baalites either. 😛

  45. Princess Jennifer says:

Hi, To Queen Elizabeth: If you want, I can probably get Independent Lucy to keep writing if you want. If you still are interested in her, I mean.

  46. Princess Jennifer says:

Yeah, but the truth is that I think the books are awesome !!!! I"ve read almost all of them twice !! I know this one girl read all of them 6 times !!! I think everyone should read the books before you watch the movie. Have you read the books ?

  47. Independent Lucy says:

All right !!! I couldn"t sleep last night knowing I lied to you. I really have no idea who this girl is.

  48. Princess Jennifer says:

I don"t want to start another fight, but I was wondering what you were saying, like I said, The nearest town is 45 miles away !! Well, I guess I"m happy that"s over. I still can be your friend if you want.

Queen Elizabeth : I bet I can get Independent Lucy to still blog… I have a way to get to her !!! lol !! Sorry I was such a pest earlier. I might as well leave Narnia web…..Besides you no one is talking to me !!! This is so annoying !! I feel bad for you. You can leave me. I know you wouldn"t want to get caught with a jerk like me.

  49. Queen Elizabeth says:

I'm glad you liked VDT Crass, but LWW was word for word pretty much thoughout the whole film. So I don't know why you didn;t like the adaptation 🙂

  50. Queen Elizabeth says:

Usually NarniaWeb is for talking about the film. So if a lot of people aren't talking to you Princess Jennifer don't feel bad. We usually just comment on each others opinions and talk about the movie. Usually not out personal lives 🙂

  51. Princess Jennifer says:

Yeah, well I still apologize from the bottom of my heart for being so stupid.

  52. Independent Lucy says:

Wow Wow Wow !! My fight has just begun !!! Why do you think I"ll be friends and stop now ? I"m just warming up !!!

  53. Princess Jeninifer says:

What?! I thought we were over that !!! Lucy, I forgive you….and I"m sorry if I made you mad….But don"t over react !!

  54. Independent Lucy says:

    I am not !!!! You Telmarine !!!

  55. Princess Jennifer says:

Sorry !!! What?! I ……am confused. Please forgive me. Sorry. I DO NOT want to fight !!!

  56. Anhun says:

For my part, I always look forward to comments by High Queen Shelly Belly, Non-negotiable comment, and glumPuddle. Why? Because they know how to express strong opinions without calling everyone, or anyone, a jerk.

I'm glad the three of you have reformed and apologized and I hope you understand that most of us come here to (whine, pontificate, analyze, gush, gossip, pick a verb) about a book and film series, not to take verbal abuse.

  57. Queen Elizabeth says:

Why are we fighting again? I'm so lost. Why are you mad Independent lucy?

  58. Princess Jennifer says:

I absolutely DO NOT want to fight Queen Elizabeth !!! I have no idea !!!

  59. Independent Lucy says:

I am not mad !!!! But if I was it is because, I didn"t get Jessie Mcartney cd I wanted !!! Just leave me alone !!

  60. Princess Jennifer says:

Can I do something to help ? Please ! I don"t want to fight !!
