UPDATE: Amazon has new cover art:

The Double DVD Pack looks horrible. Maybe it's just a teaser?!?! But knowing Fox, probably not.
What do you mean ? I think it looks ok. What ye say King Peter ?
I believe he's refering to the cover on the double DVD pack, which only has a half-finished sail… boy, that's an embarrassing mistake on Fox's behalf… not to mention unprofessional!
Still, it's not all that bad is it ? I see nothing wrong with it. And you will be watching the movie, not the cover.
What I mean is the half-sail with they ugly rigging.
I forgot to mention Aslan being an afterthought like on PC, and still no Caspian. But NO WHITE WITCH! YESSS!!!
Also, I meant the, not they.
Well I don't think it;s bad. I mean, What would you put on the cover ? Like I said before, you will be watching the movie, not the cover !!
Actually, this seems pretty cool. I'm very curious about the animated short. Wonder if Skandar and Henley did the voices for their characters in it.
Ok, so no announcement about a coming Extended Edition (which should include all the extras you guys want). That's disappointing, either because there isn't one coming, or because they don't want to tell us (so we'll buy both), or because they're waiting to see how this set does to judge if it's worth the money to put together. I suspect the latter. In either case, I wish the five minutes of deleted scenes were just been put back in the film.
That said, this set does look pretty cool, and so long as it doesn't duplicate on any future edition, it's not the end of the world. Also, Amazon and other sites will have it discounted a good degree (especially if you preorder it).
So, I'll buy it to support the Narnia franchise, future films and future DVD/blu-ray releases, box-sets and extended editions.
What, no bloopers? Oh well. I will still purchase it anyway.
Yeah, I wish they would do bloopers. . . 🙁
Why ?
umm. hello? because all of the bloopers are fun to watch!
Yeah I want to see blopers too, but I look forward the deleted scenes!!!
Would Loved Even More If FOX Had Released Extended Edition DVD Anyway I Will Buy It.
this is amazing
YES! April 8th is my 16 Birthday! I am so happy!
the cover looks amazing
Coolio!!! I'm looking forward to it.
I though gag reel was on the list before on narniafans.com? oh well…time will tell.
That second cover is cool too. I just wish Caspian was on both of them!
Caspian is on the double DVD pack cover, he's just really small and is on the Dawn Treader. You can seem him if enlarge the picture or look really close.
LOL! That was very funny 😀
Happy Birthday Warwick Davis (aka our "DLF" 😉 )
Warwick doesn't play Trumpkin. Warwick plays Nikabrik and Peter Dinklage plays Trumpkin. C:
I Can't wait for this movie to come out. I loved it in theaters. I especially enjoyed the fact that the characters are maturing in looks as well as spiritually. Thank you Douglas Gresham for creating the Christian feel. LOVE IT!
I do hope thesiempire is correct, in either way about extra stuff. It sounds correct. If Fox does the bonus or extended edition I'll buy it!
oh my gosh! you are so right! well, happy birthday Trumpkin! i feel so bad…. 😉
You know, for some reason I'm always getting the actors and parts mixed up, too! 😀
Don't reepicheep's_fangirl, evereybody makes mistakes. 🙂
but alas, i have failed you all…
just kidding. thnxs Narnian Meerkat 😉
Awww, you're welcome. 🙂
OMG LOL…GMB
Sounds really cool!!! 🙂
Wait, there's an audio commentary with the director? What about the cast? If there isn't one I'll cry.
Me 2!!!! 🙁 That would be sad if there isn't one!
not thrilled about an "animated short", i mean, really??? animated shorts are on Disney/Pixar kiddie movies, not Narnia! oh well, maybe i'll be surprised and, i dunno, like it more than the movie itself!
Wow, the DVD cover art is so much better than the poster! It looks gorgeous! Especially the one featuring the ship only. The colors are so stunning!
Hey, is the DVD double pack just a normal DVD or is it Blu-Ray?. . .I wonder what the animated short is!!!
It's a normal DVD with 2 discs. The Blu-ray has it's own separate packaging and everything.
AWESOME!!!! Thanx Anhun. 😉

To Queen Elizabeth : I saw the Lord of the Rings movie ( The first one.) And I loved it !!! We will see the next one soon !! Have you ever seen the movie, " The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry " ? It is an awesome Christian movie !! I LOVE it !!
The cover is bearing RELEASED with only have of the Dawn Treader's sail? Please, people!
The cover is being RELEASED with only have of the Dawn Treader's sail? Please, people!
oops- that was posted twice, sorry
Haha, that's alright, I hate it when that happens. . .lol
i don't think it's half the sail. it's just the boat is tipped backward-
Anyone know what the little booklet in the picture is?
I think it's a holder for the photos on the bottom. . .
I love the new cover!!!!!! I looks so much better without the White Witch on it!
this looks gorgeous! this is what the poster should have looked like! see how cokorfuland exciting it looks- that's why i hated that grey bland poster.
Has anybody else noticed that on the double DVD pack it touts a "new movie." What do you suppose that means? I'm hoping against hope that they've added footage to the theatrical version of the movie, but maybe I'm misinterpreting.
maybe to avoid confusion with the BBC version?
28 dollars? Gosh. I don't know if i am going to buy it.
You know, (even though I think this is no way going to happen. loljkjk!) if we all just waited a little longer after the dvd and bly-ray come out, it will be cheaper. So you wouldn't have to pay so dang much! Haha, but how will that happen? We all can not wait for this DVD!
that's before the sale prices, i imagine-
Buy it on Amazon a few weeks after it comes out. It'll be several dollars cheaper. 🙂
buy it through amazon via the narniaweb connection and it will benefit /support this website!
NO BLOOPERS!! Aurgh! Oh well… :0
So does mean the audio commentary will only have Apted and Mark Johnson…they won`t have the actors. 🙁
I know, I'm angry about this as well, I love the commentary with the actors.
I'm hoping they'll be included at the last minute…. 🙁 I emailed Walden and Fox to express disappointment in that regard.
well, good for you! i think we should ALL do that! 😉
Would you be able to post Walden and Fox's email adresses so that more of us can join in the initiative? If lots of us emailed them, it would probably get the message to them more urgently than just one person. 😀

I tried to post the email addys in the older posts….mailing would be better!
Sent an email as well…I loved the commentary and was really looking forward to it! and I'm going to send letters to both of them. There are some things I really need to say – maybe a snail mail letter will attract their attention a bit more than an email.
what is the email address, please?
i wouldnt be surprised if they are holding back and seeing if this sells well, if they night release an extended version for christmas sales, with the actors commentary and that extra half hour of footage.
It has more stuff than the previous films!
The placement of Reepicheep & the bubble(along with bubble color) is not the greatest in overall scheme of double dvd cover, it just throws the whole composition off which otherwise would be still pretty good – while still not being as good as the other two.
The colors are still great, but as a total image it is just abit messed up due to above. The other two are awesome covers though & will be some of the best looking covers in any1's dvd collection since for some reason dvd covers are often not done with the same inspiration as their movie – which is strange really for such a visually based medium and the volumes that dvd's can sell.
I keep my dvd library from getting away from me with filler, but still quite often i know i really like a film but it's just not represented on it's dvd cover & with out watching it you can forget why you really like watching that film – but it won't be like that for people with at the least, either of the first two VODT covers.
I'm hoping the Reepicheep bubble is just a sticker that you can take off! Haha. . .but I doubt it. 😛
lol, yeah. whomever designed the cover art found on Amazon seriously needs to get their act together, no Eustace, incomplete-looking Dawn Treader sail, and Reepicheep standing in front of the Treader in the roaring waves with a bubble that says "the perfect easter basket gift"? (although, i must agree with that statement! 😉 ) a bit saddening, in my opinion. I love love LOVE the cover art for the one up top, though! georgeous!
yeah, that bubble looks really cheesy, tacky. let's hope it works, though.
Narnia needs a Super Bowl ad for the DVD. That would be good. and GO STEELERS!
Genius !! I like, no LOVE that idea !!! Are you a steelers fan ? I like them too, but to tell the truth. Me and my dad like the KC Chiefs !! My dad actually was born in Kansas City ( KC)
I like the Steelers to win the Super Bowl and to win when they were in the playoffs, but they aren't my favorite team. I don't have a favorite NFL team. But I'm a die-hard USC Trojans fan (My family is probobly the only people who have a USC Trojans mail-box in the entire Northwest). And the Steelers have Troy Polamolu on their team (He not only went to USC, but he's s Christian too 🙂 ). I also want the packers too do well deffencivly because they have Clay Matthews, who also went to USC. This is what I want the final score and states to be:
Pittsburg: 28 (4 Int returns for Touchdowns by Polamolu)
Green Bay: 21 (3 Int returns for Touchdowns by Matthews)
I always choose NFL teams by how many ex Trojans are on the team. 🙂 Fight On!
And fight them they will !!! I'm sure !!!! Happy Superbowl !!
Happy Super bowl to you too! Fight on is what USC fans say.
Alright !! Fight on !!! Go USC !!!
Fire up, from you to me,
C'mon let's go USC !!
Go….USC !!!
LOL that was cool!
Thanks ! I just thought of that. Since we homeshool, we have a football team, (For my brother) and a cheerleading team ( for us girls. Some of us go for football) I am the head Cheerleading for our school team……..The Pray Panthers !!! We just made that up.=}
LOL! I like that!
Thanks again !! We also have a soccer team we call the Christ Christians. I have no idae where we get this, but we do in some way. Do you have a team in your homeschooling ? Just curious. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. =}
U.S. USC,
God's there savoiiour, now there free!
Go…USC !!
Well, This one isn't as good as the last one. Truly it makes no sense……ah wel, Hopefully they are free. Free to live for Christ.=]
Just saw a Coca-Cola commercial witha dragon that looked like Eustace !!!! We will definately keep that commercial on our DVR !! Maybe Narnia is next ?!?!!?
Yeah I saw that comercial. We don't have a team, but I guess we have a fan club for Dog the Bounty Hunter. Do you watch that show?
Umm, I don't think so. We used to watch a blue dog when /i was little, little, but other than that, I don't think so. Sorry. What was it about ? Hmm.. Have you ever seen the movie "The secrets of Jonathan Sperry"? It is a really good Christian movie that always encourages me for Christ.
I don't think i've seen the Johnathan Sperry movie. Is it by the same people who did "Facing the Giants" and "Fireproof"? Dog the Bounty Hunter is about this guy and some of his family who are bounty hunters and capture criminals. He takes them to jail and on the way he witness for Christ and trys to help the criminals get off of drugs, alcohol, . . . . The show is very interesting.
Great !! The movie sounds really cool. I will see if it is on tv soon and try to watch it ! No, I don't think it is the same guys who did "Fireproof,Facing the Giants, or Flywheel" ( Another movie by them.) I Love those movies though !! I hear they are making a new one !! It is supposed to be about this guy is a cop, and something about his son. It is like a Father-son movie.
That's awesome!
Yeah. I think it starts in theaters this summer. We usually don't go to movie theaters, but We did For VDT, and are planning to go this summer for that movie "Cowboys and Aliens". That sounds so cool. Also Cars 2 is coming out. How exciting, we will earn alot of money to go this summer !! Last year, I begged for the "Flicka" movie. I got it for Easter, but my brother found it, and he was not willing to give it up easily. ( He didn't want the movie, he just wanted to see me beg.) This year, I am begging for the VDT movie. I hope I find it, if They get it for me for Easter. My brother will not give it to me this year. I guarrentee it !!
We are looking forward to Cars 2 too. The first one was awesome. When we were watching the Super Bowl pre-game show and they announced that there would be a Cars 2 everybody in my family said "That's awesome!" or "I want to go see that!" While we're talking about movies, heve you seen the Blind Side? That movie is so cool 🙂
It sounds familiar. Um…..I think we've seen it, but I can't really remember. Sorry. I've seen "See no evil Hear no evil", and "Foul Play," but that isn't the title you asked for, is it ? Sigh……. I will keep thinking. Thanks for the advice on the movies !!
The Blind Side is about this homless kid on the streets (Michel Oher – now Left Tackle for the Baltimore Ravans) and while he was walking down the road, a family was driving by, and they offered him to stay the night at their house. And then the family got close with him and they adopted him. Then he played football at the high school they went to and then he was recruded by all these college football teams and he choose to go to Ole Miss. Than after college, he was drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft to the Baltimore Ravans.
Oh, guess I haven't seen it. Sorry.
That movie is my favorite (besides Star wars and narnia, of course). What are your favorite movies?
My brother likes Star Wars too !! So does my sister. They LOVE Starwars and never miss an episode !! I think my favorite movies, ( Besides Narnia of course ) are, Fireproof, Racing Stripes, and I-max horses. It is a documentary, ut I LOVE it. It shows three horses, and how they get sold from home to home, and some of the reasons a horses is, like it is. We are going to watch another movie tonight. ( From Netflix) Called " Kingdom of Heaven." It is about a boy in mideavel times, who fights for Christ in the Crusades.Co-star is Liam Neeson !! What are some other movies you enjoy ?
I listed all of my favs accept Facing the Giants 🙂
The movie you were talking about sounds cool too!
oh, sorry about that. Thanks for saying my movie looked cool and stuff. =] Your movies sounded really cool too. I will try to get the chance to watch them. Thanks ! While we're on the subject of movies, I directed a play with my siblings a couple months ago, it was a musical. It was a Esther and the King musical. I need to direct another one now though. They LOVE doing musicals. I am considering Princess and the Pauper for the girls, but I need something they both would like. Any ideas ? ( I've thought of Narnia.)
Well it depends on the age. If it was 1st through 4th grade, I would do something with Veggietales. If it was 5th through 8th, I'd do a Bible story (but this time without veggies 😉 ). And if it was 9th through 12th, I'd base it off a book (probobly Narnia 🙂 ).
Well it's 3rd through 7th grade. I've thought of your thoughts, but some of the preschoolers want to join to. It looks like it's preschool through 7th grade. I don't want to make it corny for the older kids, but the book ideas, I'm just afraid the younger kids will want more action, or will forget there lines.
Mabey you could write a play.
Yeah, I've thought of that. Thanks !! I think I will do a Narnian one though. Narnia or Indiana Jones, they all LOVE both, and so do I !! ( My brother will want the part of Indiana Jones hands down !! Who can blame him ?! ) Once again, thanks for your help and I hope it will smooth out nicely. In our 4-H meeting, we just saw how to make REAL movies !! See you in Holly wood !! lol !! ( I'm wierd)
LOL!!
I think we are going to do Indiana Jones. Imagine if we really would make millions and be movie stars ?! That would be cool !! lol !!
VDT pemires in Venesuala today!
I wish Eustace was on the DVD cover. . .That just looks weird.
I wish Prunaprismia was on the cover.
LOL, now that would be a stroke of marketing genius. Get all those rabid Alicia Borrachero fans excited!
Has anyone heard of the "Choose your own adventure " books ? I LOVE them !! I think they should make a narnia one !! That would be so cool. Maybe I will write it. I think that would be cool. Choose your own adventure in Narnia……..
To be honest… it's an awful DVD cover and easily reflects the way Fox sees Narnia as. A cheap cash-in appealing only to rabid fans and families with little children. Look at the DVD cover for the two-disk edition. They used an incomplete picture of the Dawn Treader which still has the mast containing the rigging, they excluded Eustace in the cover and Caspian in BOTH covers, and photoshopped Reepicheep from the PC posters. Even Twilight fans had better treatment than this, and yet we still act as if it's nothing and that 'it can be worse'
Before, anyone start to complain how I'm nitpicking, I will remind you all that you're only playing into the studio's hands. Excuses like "It could be worse" do nothing for the studio to change. Keep gobbling up everything the studio throws at you and it'll only get worse as they'll see how easy it is to please fans (e.g. Twilight)and find little reason to improve. And if I'm "too negative", there's a hundred of other posts here that just gush about the dvd cover so no need to freak out that someone disagrees with the consensus. 😉
Why does everyone keep saying that ?! I think it looks fine, and People will be watching the movie, not the cover !! I honestly think it looks good and can't see any of yoour points in reality. It looks beautiful to me. The colors are vibrant, the cover speaks of adventure, What would you put on the cover ?
I agree with you. You have said, in a short post, what I took forever to write out (claps proudly). Thank you!
It looks awful! I saw better pics when we got production stills from fans than that ugly view of the Dawn Treader! Sabver100 is perfectly right.
As for what I'd put on the covers, I don't know, maybe the actual main characters? That'd be Lucy, Edmund, EUSTACE, CASPIAN, and maybe Reepicheep. Obviously Aslan, but maybe an image of him instead of a generic lion that looks little like him? No White Witch, either, and at the center a picture of the Dawn Treader as it appears in the film this cover is advertising!
and your asking *me* to be polite ? uh, maybe you should watch what your saying first, before you judge others. Just because Lucy and I have another opinion doesn't mean you need to be our grammar teacher.
So when I state my opinion, which happens to be different from yours, you accuse me of being impolite? Thank you. Nice to know I'm not allowed to think.
And what on earth do you mean by calling me a grammar teacher? Should I take offense?
Would you like me to add "in my opinion" a couple times in my comment or something? Beyond saying that he was right, I didn't say anything rude to you or Lucy, so I really don't know what you're talking about.
Well, I find it rude when you said. "It looks awful ! I saw better pics from the production stills than this ugly pic of the Dawn treader"………..yes, in my opinion I find that rude. But truthfully who cares ?!?! I mean, when I called you a grammar teacher I was saying that it seemed as if you were looking for the mistakes in what we said as *rudeness*. It seemed as if you were putting pressure on Lucy…..but no one else. ……….That is my opinion.
And thanks for the sarcassem, I really needed to hear that.
I don't like the cover at all, but I do agree that we will be watching the MOVIE, not the COVER.
If my comment was hurtful to anybody, it should be the people who made the cover art, not you. I already said that I meant "in my opinion, it looks awful". If that is still offensive to you, fine. Too bad. I'm offended every time I read an anti-Christian or anti-homeschool post, article, or comment, but I just deal with it. And as for the sarcasm, you're quite welcome, I'm glad you appreciated it!
KingPeter, you're quite right, we're not watching the cover. It's just annoying to me that they'd make that sloppy mistake on a DVD cover. And I do like the Blu-Ray cover, minus the White Witch. I think it's beautiful!
uh,
Well, that was rude. I am a Christian, and I am homeschooled. Just so you know. And I am proud of it, thank you very much.
Why are you saying that was rude? I know you're a Christian homeschooler, and so am I. And I'm also proud of it. What I was trying to say was that I'm tired of walking on eggshells that shouldn't be there! I don't want to offend you or anyone else, but you've been saying "well that's rude" to everything I say. It got to the point that I didn't want to worry about it anymore. I said what I thought and told you why I didn't care if it made you mad: because you shouldn't be! This isn't something to be offended by. When someone calls Christians wishful-thinking idiots, you and I should be totally and completely offended. But it doesn't mean we can change their beliefs right then.
Not agreeing with you isn't rude. If I said you were stupid (I'm not saying that, by the way), then that would be rude and you certainly SHOULD be offended. (Oh boy, now I really AM acting like a teacher… sorry.)
Okay. So let's stop arguing and just let it go. We'll never agree on this and we just need to leave off this subject. I keep unintentionally hurting your feelings, and I'm sorry. I'm tired of this. Let's calm down. Please?
forget it. This is over. Good bye Aravin. I know what you were saying and know that not everytime I talk to you , I am being rude. I am happy you are Christian and are homeschooled. Now please, I think it's best we stop. I said it ( seems like the 100th time,) and I will say it again. It's over….
I have no intention of "gushing" over the dvd cover as you put it, nor of even making a big point of disagreeing with you (though I confess I very much do). Only, I wish to be permited to say this, if I spoke with as much over the top passion as you have in favor of the dvd cover as you have in disfavor of it (and I admit I have spoken passionately of how much I enjoy the narnia movies so I am not coming down on you for a fault that is equally my own but in reverse, rest assured), I would have a million hate replies telling me to tone it down. I have no problems with you or anyone else stating their opinons, but I think it most unfair that your sort are ready to come down on anyone who disagrees with you with "don't you say it could be worse" and a million other similar statements, but they, in turn are not allowed to say, I think you are wrong; I liked the cover, and that doesn't mean I am cowering down to a studio, I honestly liked it. Just think about that, won't you?
Thank you for your support !!=] Finally, someone who has a brain that can think !!! I totally agree with all that you said !! I think that they look lovely. I llike all of them to be truthful !! What do you think ?
*glances up and down*
Both sides have passionate views on whether the movie is good or bad. Lucy, in my other post, I asked you to tone down with the caps and the namecalling. I will point out that calling boycotters "horrible spoiled brats" and "haters" don't get you anywhere and really diminish your position. They are simply expressing their disapproval of the film through an appropriate action and has every right to express it in anyway as long as it does not harm another individual. I have no problem with your opinion just the way you presented your views. Also, I never cracked down on the opposing side who SIMPLY expressed an opinion. Do I hate someone for having a differing opinion? No. Do I start calling someone a hater for disagreeing? No. Instead, all I did was refute what several fans have been saying about "how it could be worse" and commented why excuses like that does NOT help the film industry or the franchise.
You like the cover? Great. I don't and give it a passing C- due to the reasons originally stated. The cover just seem lazy. Pretty colors aren't everything after all. That said… am I "brainless" or "moronic" if I believe boycotting tells the studio that they need to do a better job? 😉
No need to harp on everything I say, just because I don't agree with a smelly boycott. I simply believe that boycotting a movie over a COVER or a commentary is silly BECAUSE not so long ago, we were all upset when Disney backed out and we weren't sure if the movie would be made AT ALL, when so many of us were looking so very forward to it. Now it's out and we're all going to whine about minor details? Then changed one word in Aslan's line, I'm so upset…they put Reepicheep in the wrong place on the cover…the world is ending…the studio is trying to treat us badly on purpose…let's all not buy it just to teach them a lesson. (coughs into palm and raises eyebrows high)…hmm, yes, I'm sure that's the course of reason…not…
(Oh, because you don't seen to realize it, and perhaps it is my own fault for not saying anything sooner, I don't mean to use the caps for SHOUTING but rather for EMPHASIS on a certian word(s). See, I'm a writer, and I'm used to having Itallics when I need to empasise something, unforunately, there aren't itallics here so i have to use the caps. No disrespect intended, my friends)
I have to agree with Lucy. She was not namecalling. And even if she was, you don't need to be like a watchdog about it. I agree that it is a little wrecked, but it looks fine mostly !! I think that we should be grateful that we have a cover. If you want to make a fuss over it, check out the Narnia people's address and tell them what you think. Otherwise, we should stop.
Lucy, I don't understand. Why do you complain about him 'harping on everything you said', then turn right back around and call his (or her) idea 'smelly' within the same sentence? Do unto others…?
And, (At least for me – I'm by no means speaking for anyone else with this) it was not MINOR details within the movie. It was the entire whole that was flawed, not a line!! For me, the sub-par cover art was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. If the movie had been great, I wouldn't care about the cover and just buy it anyways. But for them to release a sub-par movie (if anyone even begins to think I'm just saying that, please read my other posts – I'm quite clear on just exactly why I didn't like the movie, and how much I really *wanted* to like it!) and then release an equally sub-par poster. According to the current list of bonus features, we won't even have the apparent 30 minutes of running time that Fox cut from the movie! It's just really sad. Savber's intent with the boycott, I'm *guessing*, was to signal to the producers and funders of this movie that not everyone is pleased with their apparent half-hearted efforts!
And Princess Jennifer, I HAVE emailed them, as well as written to them and called to them. I'm a Narnia fan and feel I have a right to be here and express my opinions as much as the next person – those were my only intentions – not to 'make a fuss', as you say. And please, don't assume that just because someone disagrees with you that they have no brain – that's an assumption that can very easily be drawn from your previous comment. People have differing opinions, but that does not mean they're less intelligent or stupid – just different!
I never said you were stupid. I agree people are different. I was just saying how I don't know why everyone thinks this cover is not good. I mean, people will be watching the movie, not the cover !! uh…..
I was referring to "Finally, someone who has a brain that can think !!! " in reference to someone who agreed with you – the first person who has a brain, in other words. I took that negatively. *shrugs* Whatever.
The movie and cover are related – in several ways, people will be watching the cover! Because if they'd never heard of it before, if it's a boring/drab/what have you, they will read the cover and only the cover, be put off by it, and not buy/watch the movie. In my *opinion*, the unfinished looking cover does NOT bode for a good movie. From as subjective a standpoint as I can assume, if I saw that cover in the stores, I would assume it was some badly-made children's movie and pass it over. It would not make me want to pick it up, in other words. That's what constitutes a badly-made cover to me. A cover should be well-made and attention-grabbing, but the thing that grabs my attention should *not* be the numerous errors and loose ends within the cover alone. If the cover is that unfinished, I would think, then what would the movie inside be like?
… I'm way too analytical, I know. Just how I am. But forget it… I'm more than finished here. I don't know how else to phrase my multiple issues of the covers, so I'm just backing out of this.
(Also, please note – I'm only talking about the last cover. The first one looks really good, and the second is okay. Most of my comments have been directed towards the third cover alone.)
FYI, I didn't mean it in too much of an offensive way, more like congratulating lucy for being thankful that there *is* a good cover. Truthfully, I think the third was my favorite !! I am also more than finished. ok ? So you may go your way, and I may go mine……..
I agree with you, Savber. The amount of effort Fox put into the marketing and displaying of this movie was, for the most part, absolutely pitiful. (Please keep in mind this is just my opinion!)
This movie had so much wasted potential it just made me want to cry… and the covers, though marginally better than the sloppy and dull ones we got originally, are still poorly done. (I loved the snowy – or starry, as I have heard some say – Aslan poster, though.)
Example, though – does anybody own one of the books they released with the blue cover with all the characters on it? Really look at it. Look closely at Lucy, Ed, and Eustace…. and you'll see just how sloppy the photoshopping job really was. I felt embarrassed for them to release such an unfinished piece for sale.
But that's beside the point… Anyways, my issue with the DVD color is the odd, stilted look of the sail – why does the 'N' not continue over on the other side, and why is there metal rigging still left there? Also – where is Caspian?? You know, King Caspian, one of the main stars of the movie? WHY IS THE WHITE WITCH THERE INSTEAD? She hardly constitutes as a main character! Reepicheep looks like he was just plastered on as an after thought – and that image with Edmund is STILL badly photoshopped!! Would it have taken that much more effort for Ed to take one quick promo shoot with him ACTUALLY holding the Rhindon, instead of just photoshopping it in afterwards? I could be wrong on this (The sword being photoshopped in, I mean), but I really doubt it. I've seen that sword flipped as well in other promo shots, with no other difference in image. He's not actually holding it! And they just left that for the final images?? Did Fox actually care about this movie AT ALL?
I can be quite vehement when it comes to disappointments, and I'm sorry if I seem harsh. But it's my opinion, and I'm standing by it. I wanted – so much – to like this movie. I don't think there's another movie I've ever looked forward to more. And I was let down in a spectacular way with a movie that seemed choppy, flat, and unfinished. :'(
I don't want to start anything with this, I really don't – I just thought I should speak up, since for once my opinion is different from the majority. This comment is not directed at anyone specifically, with the exception of Savber because I agreed with some of his/her points. I just wanted to put in my two cents.
Uh,!! It is amazing !! What would you put on the cover ?! I think it looks fine !!
I thought I was fairly clear on that point… First off, Caspian somewhere please!! And no White Witch if at all possible. A different image of the Dawn Treader, preferably one WITHOUT the scaffolding and poles, and with a completed sail. Reepicheep more integrated in the cover, instead of just dropped on there. A different image for Edmund. Eustace perhaps with a bit more prominence, in either of his forms…?
That's just my opinion. I have mine, you have yours, and I'm not putting you down for it. But there you go. *shrugs*
I LOVE Reepicheep so he is ok. The Dawn Treader is fine, Edmund is great, and the others are ok. I don't understand why you say this !!
Princess Jennifer – I'm talking about their images here! Not their characters. Reep is one of my favorite characters, just to make it clear here, okay? My post was not a personal attack towards you. I just dislike the poster and the sloppy, unfinished feel of it. If you want reasons WHY, read my above posts, please. I've stated the reasons why I said what I did… several times. >.>
We're just going to have to agree to disagree on this one, because I'm not about to change my opinion.
I loved the first two covers, but as for the third cover… I completely agree with you, Talvi. I /really/ hope they don't release the picture of the Dawn Treader with the unfinished sail and scaffolding still there. It's really rather embarrassing! If it were a special DVD that went into detail about CGI and special effects and all that, I may not have minded, but this is just unproffesional.
I liked the movie a lot, but this poster is not reflective of the movie, and I am rather disappointed
Nah, i agree with Princess Jennifer. I really like the cover. The colours are pretty and I like the placement of Reepicheep. You can all give me negative replies saying I'm cowering down to a studio if you like, I don't care if you want to waste your time snapping at me or not. I simply really like VDT/narnia, and though I do find it ODD that Caspian is not on the cover, I do not find it the end of the world like you all seem to. (oh, and FYI? I've seen several book NON-MOVIE covers where Pauline baynes pictures of Edmund, Lucy, and Eustace and the dawn treader were on the cover and Caspian wasn't. So um, maybe that's where the studio got their idea. Don't know where the witch came from, just a marketing thing I suppose, but it's not THAT BAD, unless you have a mentally abusive stepmother and father who refuse to let you watch anything that even looks remotely like a ghost even if you tell them its not and they saw it…but as I don't live with those awful people no more, I don't care. I'm not watching the cover anyway, beautiful as it is-love the purple!-I'm watching da movie!)
Fine, we agree to disagree. I still stand where boundries are though, and you may stay on yours. In truth, I found the Dawn Treader to be wonderful and Eustace and Caspian where not there for a reason. I do not think it looks sloppy at all, but that is your opinion, this is mine.
To Lucy : Thank you for clearly seeing that the covers are ok. I thank you for all that you say, and all of your comments. You and other's comments I find so fond of reading. I Thank you once again, for seeing that the cover is good, and there is not a problem with it. You truly would be, Queen Lucy the Valiant.
Well this is fascinating! Here we have a few people stating their opinion calmly, and then getting flamed for it! I don't appreciate this at all…
Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean you need to repeat yourself over and over again, talking like they're foolish. And thanking people for seeing how you're right isn't very polite to the others who you just ranted at. Please, could you be more polite when commenting? I felt like being sick while reading some of those rude remarks. This is NarniaWeb, for goodness' sake!
I am not trying to be rude. But I am trying to prove my point. That no one really understands. ( no effense). I am sorry if I have toubled you, but look at it this way, it is like government. We are calmy (Yes, calmy) trying to prove our point. And when I said * Finally, Someone who has a brain* It was more in humor, than in an offensive way.Like you sad before, this is Narnia web, not ladylike web.
Humorous or not, it was offensive and no one took it as a joke. I happened to disagree with you and was rather offended by the idea I couldn't think. Thank you for clarifying what you meant, I do appreciate it.
Well, I'm sorry if my *humor* offended you. I did not mean for things to get so out of wack ! ( a Kansas saying ) I do apologize, but still stand that the covers to me look fine. Is that ok ?
Well it's okay with ME, but as I already said I liked the cover, I don't think my opinon matters much in this argument; LOL.
Your opinion really does matter to me Lucy. I was just talking to Aravin. I'm real sorry, if I am talking alot, and not letting you say your opinion on things. I talk alot, and I know it. But for some reason, I am more of the shy type in real life. I talk to my horse, dog and animals alot. However, usually I pretend there Narnian horses or dogs…..hmm..
It's perfectly fine with me if you hold to your opinion. I don't want to sway you from it.
Thank you. I am sorry that I a drug you into this. It was stupid and I apologize. I really feel bad when I offended you with my remark.
That was very nice. Thank you for saying that.
Your Welcome ={
guys, Ben is on there. look at the picture in a larger view(amazon or something) he's on the dawn treader, just a small glimpse of him. someone said the same thing also. so look closely. hope this helps
guys, he's on the double DVD pack. click on the amazon page and enlarge the picture than u see him. hope this help. let me know if it doesn't
I'm probably going to regret jumping back in again… but seriously here. We're allowed to say we don't like the picture! It's not like anyone here is swearing or raging about in all capitals. So far as I can see, we've stated our opinions pretty calmly, with some exclamation points here and there. Being a Narnia fan does not necessarily mean we must like everything the production team does. He was not being rude (and as a disclaimer: my opinion here!! This is how I read his/her comment.) or directing his negative comments at anyone but the cover art itself! He simply responded to your question, 'what would you put on there?' he told you, as did I. Just because neither of us necessarily agree with you does not mean we're being impolite… or that he/she is your grammar teacher. (??)
I came in here simply looking forward to seeing what other people thought and perhaps discussing/debating with them. I did not mean to contribute to a flame war. Though I have to admit this 'conversation' has sort of sapped my want to continue on here… I think it's back to lurking for me.
But I'm going to go out on a limb here… if you're complaining about sarcasm directed towards you, should you really throw sarcasm right back at them? 😉
And Arvan, I agree with you, I really, really do.
I just hope these are unfinished images… if not, it just cements the fact that this movie was not cared for by the higher-ups. How else would such an embarrassing cover be released… the metal rigging?? Seriously?? The final straw in a long string of disappointments for me. 🙁 I just hope if the Silver Chair is made, more effort is put into it, instead of churning out a lackluster film to make a quick buck. 🙁
I should really shut up now, but there you are.
stupid reply button… that was directed at the first string of comments up there. I was aiming for under this comment… "And thanks for the sarcassem, I really needed to hear that." apparently pressed the wrong button. oops.
What ? I don't understand either of you…….sorry. Talvi, I wanted to go my way, and you could go yours. Why are we still discussing this ? You to Aravin . Why ? You both confuse me. This is getting way out of wack for the trouble.( Another Kansas saying.)
I saw someone post with opinions I agreed with and wanted to comment on that… and also, I was frustrated, okay? I was offended and disagreed with some of your posts and impulsively replied before realizing this might start another long string of bickering. I don't want that to happen… I was right when I said I would regret posting again.
I just wanted to talk about what people thought about the poster. That's why I posted in the first place – to Actually talk, instead of just having someone say repeatedly it is fine. But forget it – this has gone beyond all points of rediculousness, and it's mostly my fault for continuing to reply when a normal person would have just shut up and gone on their way.
I've put my opinion and just gotten flamed for it. Forget it – I'm done.
Well I'm finished too. I agree this has gone way to far and I don't know why we are still here. Gee, I mean forget this. I hate going back here and having to post another comment about something stupid. Just, let's get on with it !!! I will go my way and *can* you go yours ? uh !!
You understood me well, Talvi.
Now, I get the feeling this is a bit unresolved. Those last comments sounded like, "forget it!" instead of "let's just not argue anymore." Let's not enemies because of something this petty. We all know what each other thinks and how we feel about it, so let's just stop arguing about it and be friends. Sound okay?
An end to the arguing without me storming off childishly sounds good to me… agreed. Thanks for stepping in, Arvan. Probably unwise to end on a bad note. xD
I hope you two will be very happy together……..
He was agreeing to end this politely and kindly and not end angrily. Are you saying you aren't willing to agree to disagree, as you already said earlier? We aren't teaming up against you. I was trying to reconcile you two, not support Talvi or something.
What ? Why would you even think that ? I thought you and Talvi were teaming up as friends, and the arguement was over. I agree to disagree yes. I was saying that in some what sarcasseum, some what normal tone. Not in an offensive way ok ? Can we now drop it ? Like Aslan said. " There is no need to speak to Edmond about his past. What's done is done"-LWW. Ok ?
"I hope you two will be very happy together." Usual translation: "Forget it, you guys are impossible!
That's why I thought you were continuing to argue. Sorry. By the way I'm completely done with this. Seeya.
the outside observer thinks:
there are two levels of discussion going on here-
camp one : supportive, grateful we have anything at all, and easygoing about the result.
camp two: serious film buffs, literary enthusiasts, and deep analysis buffs, who had high hopes for a more literary, faithful, adaptation.
Y'all are just misunderstanding where the other camp is coming from, thus the conflict and misunderstandings.
let us identify and respect each camp, allowing each camp room for its own freedom to discuss in their own way as they see fit.
then peace will return to narniaweb. : )
Well, I didn't mean it like that. I mean't in a farewell saying. I just thought of that. I totally agree with Shelly Belly here, There are two camps, like in Narnia. We have fought the battles, but let's not start a war. I will agree to that if you will. ok ?
I will definitely agree to that, Jennifer. I think all of us wanted to stop, we just wouldn't. 🙂
Thank you High Queen Shellybelly, I wanted to stop this but instead I just got myself involved.
Aahhh… peace.
Ahhh…..Finally ! Peace at last !! ( No offensense .)
Okay I agree with your opinion of what Fox thinks Narnia is but I disagree with the cover dispute, I think it's fabulous. What Fox needs is feedback from its audience, because I also think the marketing was terrible. Silver Chair is not hardly as airy-fairy as the Dawn Treader so I wouldn't think the marketing would be quite as kiddy if they received feedback. Twilight has continuously got worse because fans like it and no one else does. If Disney did it (despite the marketing would've been better) it would've been worse because:
1: They wanted a $100 million budget whereas Walden wanted $140 million. It would've looked terribly cheap.
2: They would've tried to make it like Pirates of the Caribbean. They would've thought oh, high seas adventure so they would've went down that road and likely, it would've been criticized for its violence much like Caspian was.
OK…..Hmm…. I agree with most of the things you say. I am happy you think the cover is fabulous. I do as well.
i've been wondering if it would have looked different if disney had financed it, maybe not. apted had already been hired in 2007, while they were still making PC. his regular music man is the guy we have now, so HGW would apparently not have been hired. the screenwriters were the same as the first 2 movies, plus one new guy,. i just don't know if it's the same editor. that makes a big difference. I just wish now AA had directed, but apparently he never was in the cards , even before the results of PC were in. I just wish it had more continuity with the first two, it just seems out of place and not part of the series to me. : (
Yeah, maybe AA was the head in the cover making. That would make sense. Thanks High Queen Shelly Belly !!!lol !!
Andrew Adamson did produce, though. I agree with you, I think I'd have preferred him as director. Then we'd also still have HGW and his amazing, NARNIAN music.
My biggest problem with the film wasn't really the direction or the cheapness of the film, but the script. I feel like Doug Gresham was tricked by the other writers, who essentially told him they NEEDED a new, epic good-versus-evil plot to bring it all together. So essentially, instead of a new, different kind of film with a different plot, they tried to make the movie more like OTHER movies. That just isn't the point to me. The point is to make it like the book, not other movies that did well (because they were different, groundbreaking). They should make a groundbreaking film themselves instead of copying others! THAT is the epitome of screenwriting. Stop worrying about what others do, and let them worry about what you do. Don't worry about episodic-ness and what Rotten Tomatoes thinks of it, but worry about what the general population thinks about it. They need to remember the people who frequent NarniaWeb, Narniafans, and Aslan's Country are only a percentage of the people who've not only read the Chronicles, but love and care about them.
They're definitely among the ones who affect the box office. Not everyone is a Narnia fanatic like us who look for any reference to a theme from the book or love everything with the label "Narnia" on it. A lot of normal people saw VDT and were frankly offended by it. I know them personally. One even said he didn't care if he ever saw the film again. They probably would have liked it more if it had tried to be the book and not other films.
I don't agree with my friends who bash VDT and call it a sad excuse for a movie, but I have to respect and even love their devotion for the books.
Whew! All that to say I think that it's a whole lot more than the budget or the distributor's view of the film. In the end it's the direction and especially the script that decides what's a good movie. With the script they had, the marketers thought they needed to show an enemy (The White Witch), and they attempted to portray VDT as another epic movie instead of the Odyssey-like adventure story.
That was long. Hope it makes sense and no one minds my ranting.
I completely agree with you, Arvan. I was disappointed that the filmmakers took VDT, such a unique adventure journey, and tried to make it like other fantasy blockbusters. I still don't quite see the logic behind that! How would that make it a standout? *shakes head puzzledly*
As a movie altogether, I really loved it, and I reckon that it did justice to the movie franchise, but I would have loved it to be more accurate to the book. The script and dialogue left quite a bit to be desired, and Apted's directing was probably a bit restrained for a movie such as Narnia.
If they make another narnia film, I'm hoping for many things, but most one of the main things is that Harry comes back to compose. For me, the music added another dimension to the first two films that the third didn't have. Even more than that, though, I hope that they don't shy away from Narnia's important spiritual message! 😀
You're so right about Harry, they needed him badly in VDT.
Another thing I've thought about is the whole spiritual theme thing. I've noticed that they didn't really put the temptation theme in subtly, but kind of threw it in your face. A lot of people said VDT "redeemed" the franchise because it kept the themes of the book and didn't hide them in the shadows… but
a. That is the whole idea of a theme. It belongs in the background, in the shadows. Not out of sight, but you don't want it in your face. This was one thing Prince Caspian actually got right. The faith theme was there, fairly obvious, but you didn't feel like you were in a children's Sunday school. You felt like you were finding another perspective on faith.
b. The theme of "temptation" wasn't really a theme of the book. Those themes were Honor, Longing, and perhaps most importantly, Redemption.
They just didn't do those^ in the film.
I didn't get what they did with the themes either. How on earth they got the idea that temptation was the main theme of the book I have not a clue. I've heard rumours that they got it from 'the book C.S. Lewis didn't write'. What about the book he did write, the one they're supposedly making into a movie??? *rubs temples in confusion* I don't know.
Arvan, you hit the nail right on the head!!!!! i wish they would read your post!!!!
studios don't "improve" if you show a lack of support, they assume there's no interest and drop the project. better to write letters and TELL them WHAT you want. they have a formula , like 1 letter = 100 people's opinions that won't bother to write.
You're so right. What we need are the fans communicating with the filmmakers!
Whoa… seems like the 'discussion' has really flown since I last visited.
As for your idea on petition, studios go where the money is at. Sure, we can petition, but in the long run,a studio generally wouldn't care unless it affects the inflow of box-office revenue. Why would a studio executive care about a letter demanding for a more faithful adaptation if he knows that fans will continue to watch it and send in the revenue no matter if the movie sucks or not? Think Twilight… those movies aren't going to get any better movie-wise since it seems fans just keep coming back for more no matter how bad the film was. Simply put, it's business as usual.
That said, this is my last post on the subject. We can all discuss this on the forum rather than the comment sections down here. 😛
Eragon is a great example of fans' influence. If they ever remake that film, I guarantee it will be a more faithful adaptation. The fans saw it, and didn't see it again. If the fans would stop trying to "support the franchise", and see the film once (enough to get an opinion), then send real letters to Walden Media, they'd have a film that didn't make much, and a whole lot of letters stating why it didn't do well. Instead, if we boycott the film and end there, or don't even see it once and boycott it before seeing it, well, that only tells them not to make another. It doesn't say why the film failed. We can't just boycott VDT. We need to restrain ourselves and stop going to see the film over and over again, and send letters to Walden, a fairly small company, to explain why. You think that might have an effect?
As a professional radio/television broadcaster for almost 30 years, I am telling you for a fact that this is how they make decisions. Keep supporting it, so they know there is still an audience for this product, and contact them about what you like/dislike because they use that info to make decisions. that is why they hold advance screenings and then have the audience fill out detailed questionaires about their thoughts. A great deal of money is put into researching what the audience; reaction is. i'm talking millions and there are whole industries that center on researching the public's opinion. I have personally been involved in this kind of research. Your feelings about their product , positive or negative, will not just float into their heads somehow. they will not even know you are boycotting. they will just assume the interest has dried up and move on to a new property. TAKE POSITIVE ACTION AND TELL THEM your thoughts, reactions, desires. The time to tell them what you are looking for in Silver chair is NOW, while they are making decisions about it. For example, if you write them NOW, before they hire a music composer, TELL them you missed HGW. TELL them you liked the DVD cover better than the poster. They LOOK for this feedback.
Yeah. Why else do you think they took out Caspian's "Susan! I've got you!" line? Because the fans heard about it and complained loudly!
Ew, he actually SAID THAT? And they were actually going to INCLUDE IT??? Thank goodness the fans took control!!!
I'll definitely take your advice, Shelley, and write to the filmmakers. Would you be able to tell me who would be the best person to write to? The producers? The director? Someone else? Sorry, I know virtually nothing about movies, so bear with me if I'm sounding a little silly here. 😀

If people (lots of them) would write, I honestly think it would have an effect.
*Shrugs*
To Lucy : I thank you my dear, wonderful, friend for agreeing with me, and seeing how the cover looks fine. I am truly touched by your loyal following. You truly would be, a queen of Narnia.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoOhT8ARvag&feature=related
Has anyone seen these yet? Parts two and three are somewhere there too. They have a lot of shots I haven't seen online.
I wonder what part these shots were for: (going by Georgie's costumes) 2:28 and 4:24. Deleted scenes maybe? The second one looks like their playing a game. (Georgie's swinging the mallet, hammer, etc…)
whoa, look at 4:35, i think it is- georgie says, micheal im excited, and apted snaps," look, this is childish", like he is scolding her-!!
He goes "You should be this is childish (I can't make out the last word.)" I swear it sounds like excitement though.
I hope you are right, I felt bad for her.
Mr. Apted is really losing points with me. I keep getting the feeling that he resented the idea of directing this movie, as if someone forced him to.
According to the B-Roll footage, the little part that is them talking (same place, just not exact dialogue) Georgie's excited, because she hasn't seen the set/set with all the snow yet. They pulled the first trip into Narnia trick again. (After they call cut, she goes "WOW! That's so cool!")
Today, I was deep in thought as I walked in our woods. Nepolian, our Saint Bernard puppy accompanied me as we walked in search of the white stag. We walked, and walked, until I stopped. Nepolian walked on though. I was just looking around when I turned behind me to see some creature following me. It kept trootting towards me. I thought it was a stray cat, so I sat down and began to call for it. I cheered " Here kitty, Kitty !" It began to run for me. It wasn't until the last second that I discovered. It wasn't a pretty cat…………..it was a opposeum !! I stood up and began to walk back when nepolian came soaring through the bushes. They fought for a while, but nepolian scared it. I felt sorry for the opposeum if it was being friendly, but Instead of acting dead, like most do, it beared it's teeth. I promise, you have my word, this is a true story.
???
Well, doesn't it sound like narnia in PC when Lucy went up to the bear, and it truly was a dumb ( not stupid !!) bear ? Only in my case, it was a opposeum and we were a little bit away from our largest river.
Nickname your dog Trumpkin 😀
That would work ! lol !! After all, we named our cat Mr. Tumnus !! And his father Aslan. Why not Trumkin for the dog ? lol !! Thanks ! = ]
Magnificent cover art for dawn treader DVD and Blu-ray.
can't wait to see dawn treader again and now with it's deleted and behind the scenes with the making of the magnificent film.
I know !! I love the cover. The show destiny, they show loyalty, courage, they are really good.
I LOVE IT
Beg pardon: can anyone tell me what the booklet and other things with the bluray/dvd combo are?
Umm, well, I think it is a guid about the movie along with the blueray, other than that, I haven't got a clue.
well, thanks anyway. I'm just curious as to what it is exactly, it looks like more than just a regular old guide from the picture, to me.
yeah, sorry about that.={
I'm thinking of Changing my name. From Princess Jennifer to something else. I'm not sure if I want to d this or not, but I'm thinking about it. I think I will, but now what should I call myself ? I love *not of this world* and alot of of other names on here. Any ideas ?
What about "Praying Pevencie" or "Amazed by His Grace" ? Just suggestions
Ooh, good names! But Pevensie is spelled with an S, not a C.
Oooh !!!! I LOVE IT !!! I think I will do that !! Thanks for your help !!!
Whoops! Thank you! (I've been spelling that wrong for 5 years now!)
Well I hope you like the name!
I like it !!!lol . I used to think that Aslan, was Asland. I don't know why I thought that !! I just did. I spelled it like that for several months before My mom and I were together and she told me, it was Aslan !!
LOL When I went to see LLW for the first time in the theatre I thought his name was Asland too! 😀 Then on the way back home my mom told me it was aslan 🙂
Neat !!! I also, when the movie first came out, I thought it I thought that Susan said they were from Finland. This confused me because I was sure they were from England. I then noticed, they were from Finchland !! I think. lol != }
LOL
they are from FINCHLEY, England.
See, I still don't have it right !!! LOL !! Thanks for your help !!!
There is a thread on the DVD in the Merchandising part of the forum posted by Griffle. 🙂
Is blu-ray better than DVD
Of course it is. SO much better than DVD.
i was BLOWN AWAY by how much better the narnia movies looked in blu ray! i had previously assumed it was just a bunch of hype- but i was astonished!!
They will start filming the Hobbit on March 21.
Well, Here goes !!
That is, Princess Jennifer has a new name!
Yep, nd I love it. It's all thanks to Not of this World for thinking of it for me. I thank him for that. I love the name because it speaks of Christ, yet Narnia. It is….Prating Pevensie !!
Glad you like it 🙂
Not like, LOVE !! Thanks for your help !!!
Loving the new name. Very creative, Not of This World.
Queen Elizabeth !!! Now it seems as if I haven't talked to you in like, forever !!! I like the name too. I tried to go to your blog and chat, but it wouldn't come up !! I do read it everyday though.
Thanks!
also he's on the double pack DVD only (i think)
THIS SOUNDS SOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!
Yahoo !! Ok, I have this book, " The Pocket Companion to Narnia" And I was reading it, I looked under Aravis, and guess what it said ? Yes !! It said that Aravis was a young girl from calormeen that was a young teen, ( I'm twelve.) And was very adventurous.( I am adventerous too !) How cool is that ? I COULD be Aravis !! Here is what the book said:
Aravis
A Calormene noble woman, in her early teens, who is one of the main characters in HHB ( The others are Shasta, Bree, and Hwin.).Her stories detail her flight from the cruel, stifling, world of southern calormene to freedom in the north specificically Archanland. More important,* in HHB she meets Shasta and becomes Queen of Archanland. She is compassioniate, humble, and has leadership.*
Ok, All of that is what the book said. But when you come to the stars(*) that means that I just wrote notes on the important stuff. Cause believe me, She had a LONG biography. Shorter than Lucy,Edmund, and Eustace, yet longer than others. So far, I've read Aravis, Eustace, and began Edmund. It is an awesome book !!
Narnia France tell the 3 (LWW, PC & VDT) in one Box of DVD/Bray 23 april because Walden bought the rights some year ago (excuse my poor english)
My aunt returned from Pakistan today. She surprised me by giving me a copy of the DVD. I'll post a video on YouTube and give a link as soon as possible. It's not what I thought, but it was something… at least I got the movie. 🙂
How???????
maybe a bootleg copy
Hmm. You don't normally announce that you have a pirated, bootleg copy of a Narnia film online, especially NarniaWeb!
Lol, bragging is a bad habit of mine. But I mainly just wanted to throw that out. You don't normally get a Narnia film at a completely unexpected time and stay quiet about it, especially on Narniaweb.
True, true…
why do ypu say, it's not what i thought?
It's not the official DVD, and the cover is obviously fake. The quality's not so good and there's other things but I guess I should be glad. I'm still planning on buying the two disc DVD though.
i wish i had something to tie me over till it's realeased. at least they are releasing it in spring. It was torture waiting 8 months for PC to come out on dvd.
I want it ! i want it! i want it!
I've heard of many people using the program BitTorrent to get a good quality of the DVD. Many of my friends have watched it multiple times. But I said I am waiting till the DVD comes out in stores 🙂 I want all the bonus features too.
i do to i love listening to the commentary, and watching behind the scenes.
Very nice! when we get a blue-ray player we definetly need to buy this!

why is the digital copy only with the blu-ray version?
Are they going to sell Dawn Treader in 3D? None of these DVDs or Blu-rays have said anything about 3D.
We'll have the BluRay and DVD tomorrow (1st April) here in Italy! Can't wait!
